Hyatt Place Phoenix Chandler - Fashion Center

The pool was nice for the kids, they liked it a lot. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were spacious enough for us.

If you’re going to book through the app, expect the price to be more than the app is stating. I booked the room for 294 but was charged for 344 at the property, the front desk clerk didn’t tell me why the price increased.

We checked in the first night with a reservation for two queens and a pull out sofa to fit the kids. The person checking us in apologized that they did not have a 2 queen room but would make it up to us by giving us two rooms with a king each and a sofa bed each. Kids really got to stretch out. Well, we thought it was for the entire stay as the clerk said nothing different. Surprised the next day to get texts asking when we would be ready to move all our things to a 2 queen room. Pointed out the inconvenience and that we were not told we'd have to move the second night. Manager apologized, offered cookies to the kids and some happy hour drinks for the adults, and in the end gave me Hyatt points to boot. The funniest irony is that we ended up moving into the room between our two rooms so we could keep the patio access to the pool area. Rooms were comfortable enough, and the 2 queens would have been considered plenty of space if we hadn't been spoiled the first night. Beds were comfortable if a bit firm. Breakfast was good with the usual breakfast bar options of scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, breads, etc. Well located near the mall and the freeway. Would have been great to have a larger refrigerator and we stacked up to get into the bathroom, but it was a good stay. The manager really did a good job to smooth over the need to move.

Honestly this hotel is no different from your typical Hyatt Place, in terms of room designs and service expectation. The location is possibly what attracted most people, as it is right next to a Wells Fargo and a major shopping mall. You don't really need to drive if you are here for a short day or overnight. I had an extended overnight and just decided that I want to skip the typical airport hotel and be closed to a shopping mall and something that I can do without driving. The walk to the Chandler Fashion Center is not as straightforward as I like but is easy enough. The service is friendly and the breakfast, while not extravagant, is passable for a Hyatt Place. It is a good Phoenix hotel and I will not hesitate to stay here again if I have a lengthy overnight.

The shower/water was shut off during my stay here. It was unannounced & I late for my meeting following the inconvenience.

We were there with a group of teenagers for a soccer tournament. The staff was extremely friendly, professional and patient. The rooms were clean and the staff was very accommodating with multiple group meetings in the breakfast area.

Woke up with a terrible headache and a stiff neck. Not 100% sure what they use to clean with or what fragrances are used but I felt a lot better after I stepped outside the hotel.

it’s been a couple of weeks since i stayed there, but i think this hotel had one of the better breakfasts
