Hampton Inn Atlanta NW Cumberland

The building itself is a little dated. The air was musty in our room. The staff were courteous and helpful.

My stay was only two nights. Overall the property was clean and quiet. As a single woman staying by myself I felt safe. You can tell there is some wear and tear on the property but overall everything was great. It served the purpose of a nice comfortable place to stay for a couple nights that didn’t totally break the bank, one of the cheaper options in the area. The breakfast was fresh and tasted great. Staff were friendly and helpful. If in Atlanta again I would look into coming back.

First off this property is way overpriced. We paid almost $200 per night, for two nights, then find out at the property that they also require an additional $50 fee for potential damages. When we got to the room, the door-jam was beaten and busted, same as the striker plate. It looks like someone literally broke into the room at some point recently- but why not fix it? There was no dusting or good vacuuming done. When I was in the shower, I realized there was a large puddle of water on the floor by the toilet coming from the shower, that’s when we realized the shower floor seal was broken and water was seeping out onto the floors (was really more of an inconvenience than anything). Other than this, the breakfast was really good and a very convenient walk to Truist Park. We might come back to this hotel, or probably not. Definitely don’t want room 213 again.

Horrible - I read the reviews and wishd I could change but was traveling with a group and this was the only option. I checked in online and chose from the available rooms. Received my mobile key and went straight to the room. Mobile Key is green on my phone and appears to be fine but would not work - so back down to the front desk for a key. When I got back I noticed that room had apparently been previously broken into and the door jam as well as the bolt were bent way out of shape and the bolt would not even engage. Why is this room available to choose - it is obviously not a safe option. Went back down to the front desk, was assigned another room. This time there was an error message on the air conditoner when I went to check the temperature - back down again because they 1. don't have phones in the room to call the front desk and 2. don't answer the phone when you call from your own room. Third room had a very smell but everything appeared to be in orde rand I was done with the back and forth so I decided to spray some perfume as air freshener and deal with it. I have not stayed at a Hampton Inn in quite some time so I don't know if this is the norm but I would hope not. never a word of apology just a smirk from the front desk clerk. The first room I was in should absolutely NOT be available for guests with the condition of the door / lock. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!

Really nice hotel -- clean, great beds, great pillows. Well-kept. Good amenities. Great breakfast. I wish all hotels in this price range were this enjoyable. The internet worked well. As a single female staying alone, I definitely felt safe.

We had a nice stay here one night for a Braves game. The front desk clerk was super sweet and knowledgeable. Actually all the staff we met were. I booked through a third party and the third party failed to send over my reservation. The front desk clerk was very kind and told me exactly what I needed to do. Once the third party sent my reservation I was good to go. I would keep in mind when reading reviews for this hotel to remember that this is not a brand new hotel, it’s not high end, it’s your typical middle of the road hotel. It’s around a mile away from Truist Park. We drove to the game. I would also remember that price wise if you’re wanting to be within close proximity to Truist that you’re limited. It’s a very busy area of town with older hotels unless you’re staying at a luxury one closer to the park. This hotel offers free breakfast and free parking which is rare for that area. The hotel could definitely use some little repairs here and there but overall we were satisfied for what we paid.

Way too hot in room and hallway.

I’ve stay in a lot of Hampton Inns throughout the years and this is definitely the most run-down I’ve stayed in. The lobby area is nicely renovated, the front desk staff is very polite and helpful and the beds are pretty comfortable but literally everything else is old, dirty and falling apart. The room is tiny, furniture is old, bulky and chipped, no toilet paper holder in the bathroom, room door doesn’t close all the way without pulling it hard, the air vents are clogged and super gross, the carpet is filthy (especially the first floor hallway) and everything is just really old and dirty/stained. I’m honestly surprised the Hilton brand allows it to stay open. Upside is it’s super cheap. I’m holding out hope it’s renovating or will be soon.

After reading mostly positive reviews we booked our room. I can not express enough how "unappealing" this hotel is. I don't believe the rugs in the hallway have EVER been cleaned. The rug in our room was sticky, the sink was clogged with hair, and the room had the smell of trying to cover up the smoke smell. We had a fire alarm at 12:20 a.m. where 2 of the exit floors had puddled water which would have been a major problem if people would have panicked when leaving there rooms. We had to wait at least 15 min. for the fire department to come and tell us it was safe to go back in. It would have been a more palatable situation it SOMEONE, ANYONE from the hotel would have come out to talk to us. The only positives I can say are the parking is included in the price and they refunded the other two nights we were to be there without a hassle. This hotel is very close to Truist Field so families beware.

The staff is so friendly and accommodating but there is only so much they can do. The hotel was having an obvious issue with water pipes leaking while we were there. In our first room, the bathroom ceiling leaked and dripped into the shower and there was a pungent fake peach smell trying to mask the smell of mildew. We were moved to the second floor where our room was dry but the carpet in the hallways was so wet that it sloshed as you walked. Wet floor signs were in the hall along with the smell of wet carpet. The concrete stairwells had water puddled with towels around pipes.
