Fischers Baslow Hall

The overall vibe we got was that of a nostalgic english cottage. The rooms were clean and pretty spacious. After a relaxing and restful night, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast cooked to order in their brightly lit dinning room over looking the beautiful garden. After we filled our tummies, we took more time than usual to wander the beautifully decorated interior of the hotel and lush greenery surrounding the grounds which we were unable to appreciate the night before as it was masked by nightfall. This is a beautiful hotel with lovely, helpful people. Very accommodating, friendly and professional. The design details are beautiful in each room with bold, flowered patterns: not fussy but modern and lively.

Excellent service and high quality cuisine

Had a great stay here, room was spacious and well appointed. The lounge, breakfast room and restaurant were comfortable and beautifully decorated. Minor disappointment with the breakfast and lack of support from the hotel with dining options on the Monday/Tuesday when the restaurant was closed.

We would certainly give this place ten out of 10! No pool spa, gym but wonderful accommodation, excellent cuisine, beautiful surroundings and everyone treated as a V.I.P. We thoroughly enjoyed our mini break (3 nights).

Best experience at a hotel I have ever had!!! Me and my newly engaged fiancée stayed here after our engagement at the Chatsworth estate house and everything about the hotel was amazing especially the breakfast!!

Stayed for 1 night and from the moment we walked through the doors we felt at home. Unfortunately the room we normally have in the main house was not available so we had a garden room. It was large and comfortable but not the standard of the main house. Mostly I didn't like the way you walk straight from the outside onto the bedroom carpet. Because of this it didn't feel that clean and make you want to walk around in bare feet or socks. The bathroom was a bit dark as didn't have a window to the outside and the fan ran on so long it was a problem with the noise. Having said this, we love the hospitality here and are regular customers. The food is always spot on as is the service. And the hotel is great at any time of the year. We will be back.

Somewhat disappointed with our Birthday lunch. I'll keep it shortish ! We live locally and for our joint birthday we chose Fischer's. Our main course was enjoyable but with very little vegetable content considering they have their own vegetable garden. We requested more bread after consuming 2 small slices and the response was that will be £4.50 per head !....An apology and explanation was given .We have dined all over the World including a few Michelin star restaurants and never have we been charged for bread.Probably by way of an apology we were not charged for the Prosecco.

An exquisite fine dining and impeccable service, that makes you feel very welcomed. Highlights for me were the starter and the deserts. Beautiful building, interiors and gardens. Thank you Fisher’s Hall team! I would love to visit you again.

Fischers Baslow Hall is a very relaxing and peaceful place to stay. The staff are excellent, helpful and incredibly professional. I would highly recommend staying here. The restaurant is not open on Monday and Tuesday. However, there are plenty of places to eat in Baslow, which is about a twenty-minute walk.
