Courtyard By Marriott Bentonville

Cleanliness was great. Great workout room. Breakfast food was pricey. Staff responded to questions but rarely smiled and seemed tired or indifferent. Perhaps had a bad day. Fire alarm jolted us awake at 5-ish in the morning. Stopped after a while. Repeatedly rec'd a busy signal at front desk. No announcement that it was a false alarm. We assumed this after fire truck pulled up in front of hotel and left after what we assumed was an all-clear.

Nothing to complain. Everything is good.

Hotel was good - definitely renovated, so ignore some of the older pictures. The workout room is big. Rooms were updated - comfy bed, clean, etc. The bathroom are not completely renovated, but they were good. We came with a soccer team - but there were several others blocks there as well so we got a complimentary breakfast. Staff was friendly. We wished the bistro was open on Saturday after 10 am. Close to downtown - really no issues at all. The only thing was the bar of soap (for bathroom) on backorder so we didn't have any. Working with the event sales was GREAT

Services were lacking. Only asked for towel service and did not receive once during our 3 night stay.

It suited our needs

Well, 1st there was no breakfast unless you were with a large group. Then there was no pool. Day staff at check in was good, reat of the time they were rather rude to be honeat.

We arrived at 130 and went to the front desk. I told the manager that we had a reservation. She rudely said, "we don't have a room ready". I said thank you and we will come back at 3 pm. (stated check-in time) She said, "we won't have a room ready then either. You will have to wait until after 4 pm". I asked if she was going to compensate me for the inconvenience since I confirmed my reservation and paid in advance but the room was not going to be ready on time. She said they don't do that and that I would just have to wait. I have stayed with Marriott for over 20 years and have never been treated so rudely. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at Marriott. I understand that things happen and delays occur. But to treat me like I am an inconvenience is not how you get me to return to your hotel. We went to the little courtyard inside the hotel and waited. When the room was ready. She came and found us and acted like she was doing us a favor since it was ready before 4 pm. Never did she apologize for the delay or being rude. Would not recommend and will not stay at this particular hotel again. Which is a shame because it is a great location and very convenient to other services in the area.
