Hampton Inn by Hilton Indianapolis-South

Quiet area; comfortable beds; good breakfast selection; perfect place to stay

Not impressed with this particular hotel. The clerk on duty seemed as if she had other things to think about other than giving that warm reception we come to expect when checking in to a Hilton property. However, the next morning we were greeted when going through the lobby, and during the rest of our stay reception was very pleasant. The breakfast was your typical buffet, but hot and filled the void. The beds were comfortable, but the room (#222) and bathroom could use a deep cleaning. We had our small dog with us, and upon entering the room he made a beeline to something under the tv cabinet. Luckily, I was able to retrieve a tater tot from his mouth. The toilet, tub, socket covers and switch plate covers were dirty, and in the room, it appeared as though someone had sprayed spray starch on the cabinet door. Overall, we would not stay at this property again. We would most likely stay at one of the other Hilton properties in the area. Maybe when the renovations to this particular hotel are complete it will be up to par with the other properties.

I was upset that our room wasn’t cleaned nor was it refreshed for towels and washcloths for us to bath without going to the desk and asking for it.

Only there overnight.

Terrible hotel. It continues to go downhill. This will be our last time! I laid my head down on the pillow and the pillow wreaked of poop! We stay at Hampton Inns often but this visit will have me looking at other hotels!!!
