The Albion Summit

We had a short stay. Got in around 9 and left in the morning without breakfast due to our other plans. We expect to stay again for 2-3 nights in a few months.

Nice room, walk in shower is always better than tub shower. Renovated bathroom was nice. TV had poor reception but I’m not there for the TV reception. Walking to town was only about 7 minutes which is nice. The town is pricey but nice area but very enjoyable to walk in. Many churches in surrounding area. I would definitely stay there again.

When I went to check in they said they didn’t have a room for me and this was only about 2 hours after I booked the room on Hotels.com. Luckily there was one cancellation which opened up a room. This had the makings of a vary bad experience.

This hotel is being renovated by a new owner. Instead, it should be closed for the complete renovations. The website listed amenities that were not available or closed. The room next-door had a dog. The front desk didn’t even know about it, let alone that it was left and attended most of our stay. There was mold in the shower. A leak in the room ceiling. Charming is not neglected, in need of basic repairs, or lamps and light fixtures in rooms that don’t work. Upon check in one of the people in our party, at 9 o’clock at night, was told their room was not ready. Another family member who booked two queen beds, instead was given a room with one king, and told they had to pay additional for it. The person who checked us in, warned us not to use the Keurig’s in the rooms because they were dirty and disgusting. This was consistent with the rest of the hotel!

Perfect for our short stay with our pup. Free parking on site. Clean rooms. Just a bit noisy as we were near the elevator, ice machine, and housekeeping room so we frequently heard noise day and night. Would stay here again though! Just not in the same room.

We were there for four nights and did not have a change of sheets nor had the room cleaned. The waste baskets were overflowing and there were no glasses nor water.
