The redone bathrooms were great.

This is a tough one...according to other reviews the Sumitt Grand is in the middle of a reboot, so I guess we have to take that into consideration. Some complaints...the breakfast has much to be desired. For a hotel room that was $185, a good breakfast with a good variety is to be expected. But it was exactly the same every day, eggs , no bacon or sausage, bagels,etc. They inform you that they clean the rooms about every four days. Again for $185, not good. The refrig was not working and we had problems with the coffee pot. The lady at the front desk absolutly refused to smile. Now the pluses. Beautiful old quint hotel. Walking distance to the train station and Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts,etc. The town closed early around six, except for some bars, but there was some nice antiqey type stores. Till the hotel gets it's act together, they should lower the rates of the rooms

The room I’m the picture was not the one given. When checking in the lady did not know anything about the rooms when asked she stated she was new, then I saw her working in the kitchen area the next morning. There were paint chipping from the ceiling. Breakfast had sugar and when ask the staff got an attitude. Overall I would not stay there again.

Smart TV is necessary please and Checking in took a long time… almost 30 minutes .. 😏

Convenient place to stay walkable to downtown but it's clear the property is suffering from post-pandemic staffing shortages and overall finances. The restaurant is closed, the amenities are sparse, the in-room supplies are cheap and lacking.

Check-in at 4 pm took 20 minutes. Finally, I was told that the suite I had prepaid was unavailable and I would have to take a regular room. I asked if I would be refunded the balance I paid for the suite and was told, "Come back later and I'll buy you a beer." Won't be staying here again.

I only stayed one night, so I didn't experience enough for a thorough review. While my room was comfortable, I found the lobby area gloomy and uninviting. Having lived in Summit for over 10 years, I was always impressed by the hotel's façade and grounds.

i have stayed at the summit hotel since the early 80's. it has become a gasrbage hotel. no pool no restaurant terrible general manager . i complained that had not cleaned my room and their explanation was we only clea n a room every day if you request it . if not is every 4 days. that is disgusting and certinly nit the type of serviece i expect from them. spend the extra $40 a night and stay elsewhere.
