The Albion Summit

Property is under renovation so the Tavern only offers bottled beer and alcohol that can be carried to the room. Lobby has been remodeled with a welcoming and working fireplace and plush furniture. Elevator is very old and small but the building is very old so some of the upgrades may improve this. Staff is very nice and location is convenient for us.

It was lovely and the staff was lovely. One of my better hotel experiences and really can’t wait to come back. It’s perfect for a little staycation

Why don’t the owners explain to staff that their hotel was built in 1929 not in 1868? Comfortable, nicely furnished, extremely reasonable prices, very walkable to downtown, easy parking. Skip the breakfast in the gloomy bar.

Good stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. Clean, quiet hotel that allows dogs. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast served yummy scrambled eggs included in price.

Not all the rooms and bathrooms have been renovated.

This is a beautiful landmark hotel in downtown Summit that is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The lobby and public rooms, however, are in need of updating. That said, my guest room was modern, clean and very comfortable. I also enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning. A note for management is that the entry into the porte cochere is poorly lit. Otherwise, it was nice to have ample free parking. I recommend this hotel if you are visiting Summit!

Iconic. Should become a major tourist location

was a little dingy, not very much personality in the rooms. Sort of bare-bones, but not minimalist. Just sort of empty and not warm. A little disappointing because it look like it had potential. By the time we got down to breakfast, there was literally just scraps of food left on, we had no glasses in the room, at best it’s just meh.
