Cleanliness

The bed sheets were too small not even covering the mattresses so t rather uncomfortable. And the pillows were the size of airline pillows which was really surprising.

Excellent experience

Easy to access accomodation that was really well located for access to the snow (using local free shuttle bus) and easy walking access to great choice of restaurants as well as the public onsens. The accomodation was very Japanese which met our needs really well. Breakfast was delicious and varied.

The young group of staff from over the globe were all super lovely, friendly and helpful. The location from the main gondola was a good enough distance to get the legs going again in the morning but not outrageously far, about 10 mins, or 2 mins to the bus stop.. and only 3 mins to main street. Great steaming hot onsen only 2 mins away also. Good, filling breakfast in the morning although strongly European influenced.

Nit picking, as overall was an entirely adequate accommodation. Just lacking that wholesome, slightly more authentic vibe you get when the business is staffed / run by a local Japanese family.. and the amazing Japanese breakfasts / dinners that often accompany this! Not to down talk the staff here though, who were a young group from here and there and were all super friendly and helpful!

The pros. Easily accessible from bus stop. Traditional style sleeping arrangements and amenities. Which was what we were after. Morning breakfast which was included was awesome. Beautiful window view and location. Perfectly insulated- room had a heater . Cons. You hear everything in your rooms. Including conversations and foots steps. If you boarding or skiing the uphill trek will make you wish for Jesus, is a bit far. The overall experience was great and in all honestly you are far too tired to hear most things I just happen to be a light sleeper. I would compare to an expensive hostel. With adequate amenities and everything you need but the people make the experience a 10/10. If you chasing Luxury and comfort this may not be the place your after.

Breakfast had a good choice of foods.

Bathroom and toilets on separate floors. Showers were cool not hot. Shared facilities. Futon is not suitable for everyone and after a few days can become uncomfortable unless you are a regular user.

Great location, friendly staff, clean amenities.

Walls were paper thin so annoying with disruptive neighbours.
