Hot tub was dirty Shower was dirty Over priced. Completely out dated. Ceiling was dirty.

old broken down building. bathroom antiquated. no iron or ironing board. dirty lobby. Scary looking place.

The staff was fine. The room wasn't.

Had to hold the bathroom door closed because it was off the top hinge angling the door so it wouldn't close. The frame of the door was also loose. There was black marks on the ceiling above the shower. The plug next to my bed was loose and my phone plug would just fall out, the USB port next to the plug outlet didn't work as well. I had to charge my phone in my car. And the floor was dirty and sticky. So dirty to the point where the bottom of my socks turned black and literally had to throw them out. I've stayed in some bad hotels before but none of their floors were this dirty. I've been there before because it's within distance from my weekend destination. I'm guessing what they charge for a room doesn't go into maintenance and keeping up with things that need to be fixed. Unless they start fixing things there I may end up paying more elsewhere in the future and I frequent Monroeville often.

That they had smoking rooms

The manager/owner was very rude. He gave me grief over me reserving the room on booking.com saying they lose money that way. I stayed for over a week. The cleaning staff was inconsistent if you asked for a box of tissue or anything they had to get permission from the rude man up front. The phone wasn't working the outlets wouldn't hold your plugs the luggage rack came crashing down in the middle of the night. The beds were so uncomfortable They really need some new furniture in the rooms The only good part was the gentleman who fixed things around the rooms. Very nice and timely but that's because I caught him outside and would tell him what's wrong so I didn't have to go to the office but he was very nice. The manager needs to take classes on customer service or find another job
