Keywest Inn - Tuscumbia - Muscle Shoals

i booked this room on hotels.com and i read all hitel policies and it said nothing about a cash deposit (see attached screenshot). the hotelwould not let me check in after paying in full fir my booking and said hotels.com was responsible for refunding me. Hotels.com could only offer me 25$ in one key cash. the hotel, if they ultimately recieved my payment should refund my $ and add it on hotels.com ti their policies, i am sure i am not the only person who has had this issue. i am currently awaiting a reaponse from hotel management to hotels.com regarding my refund.

Rooms pretty sound proof

Staffs weird and very watchy which makes it uncomfortable and don't keep track of what you tell them so ask a lot of questions in an almost accusing manner

Everything is outdated. The Keywest use to be the spot ALL my relatives would stay in when they came to town. Now...I wouldn't recommend them to ANYBODY. The water barely got hot when I took a shower and when it did it would switch from warm to cold. They were stingy with the towels and washcloths...both of us had 1 of each and they acted as if it was a chore just to give us more. WLL NOT be going back!!

It didn't smell bad. It appeared clean and well kept

I didnt like that no visitors are allowed, they want to document each vehicle or they tow it. The bathroom crown molding appeared to be torn up and barely put back together. It appeared to be chewed up or something. The bed was on top of some weird sheet metal box that made alot of noise while laying on the the bed and getting off the bed. It was also 55 degrees in the room when I arrived. I didn't expect much since it is a cheaper hotel so I didn't complain per se but it could use a few improvements. It served it's purpose and was clean. So I was happy with that and the price couldn't be beat.

I'm a bass tournament angler and need space for my boat and outside plugs to charge my boat batteries. They have a large parking area with plugin's a less expensive cost and are well located.

I liked the fact that it was close to everything and everywhere that I needed to be and go.

I didn't like the fact that I didn't change the room to non- smoking,I thought my husband would be able to come but he didn't so: it was over all a great stay.
