Alex was a great host who went above and beyond our expectations. Great hospitality, good breakfast and we felt safe and welcome.

The historic building was exceptionally beautiful and the view from our room was gorgeous. The location was perfect and easy to connect with other places in the area with a walking distance. The property is close enough to the hot spots but far enough to be in a quiet neighborhood. :)

The room (with own bathroom) was extremely damp and hard to air out. Couldn't really open windows, as the room filled with mosquitos. They need better ventilation in the bathroom and the room itself, as the walls and everything were so damp. Bed was old and not the most comfortable.

This was my second time visiting Antigua Guatemala. I appreciated the hot showers and the beautiful garden here (bring your insect repellent!). For me, the hotel was not too far of a walking distance from the center of Antigua. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the plaza but there are tuk tuks along the way if you don’t want to walk. Blanqui was very kind and attentive during my stay and handled everything even though she was sick. She was patient with my Spanish!

The quality of breakfast varied and unfortunately there was hair cooked into my food one day. Although I appreciated Blanqui, I don’t think people should be working while sick, coughing and sneezing everywhere. More support is necessary in these situations. It’s hard to ventilate the room, you will need to keep the windows open but there’s a lot of mosquitoes so it’s a double edged sword. The room definitely needs a deep cleaning and a good sweeping, there was a lot of dust and dirt in the corners. Expect WiFi and power outages. Also, I was charged more than I was quoted for the room without explanation.
