Great location

There was a vegetable market that set up early morning and it was quite loud in 1 of the bedrooms

The location was central.

We arrived after 4pm, which was already after check in time and the apartment wasn't clean. Our family had been out all day and we just wanted to rest, with our 2 and 4 year old, and had to wait another 1.5 hours for the flat to get clean. Plus, we were only staying one night and leaving early in the morning the next day. The host didn't really pay enough attention to the whole issue. I asked for a discount and the host to this day tells me he told booking to give us a 50% discount but booking says he never replied to them so these are just lies. I think it's completely unacceptable to forget to clean your property before guests arrive but even worse to lie about giving customers some of their money back. Beware of staying here, the host is a liar and a crook!

It is in a nice location, across from a square where a farm's market happens daily and within walking distance of everything.

The third floor with no elevator, so be prepared for it. We already knew about it but what really made us uncomfortable was the bathroom window without any curtains so the bathroom and its mirror were visible from the neighbor's building balcony. Since I was staying with my family (wife and mother), I was concerned about a man staring at the window during some times we accessed the bathroom.

Loved the location, overlooking the fruit and veggie market. Perfect place to get the feel of the city. Very walkable, with easy transportation options. Museums, restaurants and groceries all nearby. Lovely neighborhood. The apartment was very clean, and had what we needed to spend several days there comfortably. Enjoyed all the great Portuguese ceramics used to decorate the space. Do the Bordallo Pinheiro route through town if you can. We met the cleaning staff and they were extremely kind and thorough. Beds were very comfortable after long days of sightseeing.

We did not like that the bathroom window did not have any type of curtain or window covering on it. We were on the top (3rd) floor, and there was a rooftop on. The building next door that could see n the bathroom, via reflections in the mirror. My husband encountered the neighbor doing his exercises on the roof, as he was shaving one morning. Awkward! This was our only real issue, one that can be easily remedied. The apartments on the lower floors probably do not have this issue.
