Irísh Lodge South Bend

The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and even made me laugh. The room was nice and cozy. Overnight was quiet. Breakfast was good. I loved the waffles and juice. I loved the little outside eating area. If you are just looking for somewhere quiet and comfortable to rest for a night definitely a good match. Overall it's worth what you pay for!

Hot water didn't last long. The pool wasn't open but I was informed that they are just waiting on someone to come inspect it then they can fill it and it'll be open again. The key card took a couple tries each time to get it open but it eventually opened.

I thought location was great where we needed to be in South Bend! I also enjoyed the Lobby, it was well suited for our group to gather and relax in between games.

The website advertised a pool, and it was empty and out of order! This was a huge disappointment to our group. I had overheard other families complain about the treadmill being out of order, the elevator on the "even number rooms" side didn't work, and several doors were out of order as well.

Elevator was out- wasn’t informed even with 3 little ones and room on the 3rd floor. Pool empty- no notation on website. Treadmill out of service. 2 of the doors you could exit but could not enter. The staff was fantastic though. I try to give grace but really so much was broken down.

We booked for the location. That was the only thing true and positive about this stay.

The pool was closed and empty due to extended repairs. The doors to enter from the rear lot were broke amd only 3 luggage carts for the hotel. Be prepared to do everything on your own. The main lobby square was being painted as we arrived Friday evening. The lobby smelt like paint while the rooms smelled like pet urine.The room was not clean or cared for at all. After the lobby, the hotel was worse than a motel 6. We stayed 2 nights. Room service did not touch our room our entire stay. We do not recommend this hotel at all!

Beds were comfortable and shower was hot.

Pool was advertised but was not in service. Breakfast was terrible. Staff was rude.
