Quality Inn Colchester - Burlington

This room was disgustingly. Hair and dirt everywhere. I didn’t take a shower because I didn’t want to clean it before and I knew no one would clean it after I checked out. I relaxed in bed and there was a god awful smell. Hard to pin point but eventually I found a wet spot under one of the pillows on the sheet. Pee! Are you kidding me???? For $130 I should have just slept in my car. Quality innnhas lost all my business

Room size and overall cleanliness

Cleanliness, it needs some updating (toilet paper holder needed replacing), and fresh paint. It was a handicap room but the bathroom door kept hitting the bed (it had a patch job from previous encounters).

The guy that checked us in was nice

The room was extremely dirty, the ac did not work, there was no soap. The shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower were empty. There was stains everywhere. For 200.00 I was actually disgusted.

Check in person at desk was very busy. He was focused on getting the line of people checked in so seemed stressed and was not highly personable.

Cleanliness. It was 90 degrees + outside and the VERY OLD air conditioning unit was not able to blow cold air.

Overall condition of property. A fresh coat of paint does not make a room $300+ a night. Outside pool advertising as heated, it was not. Holding tank on toilet was cracked a glued together. Other families that stayed had rooms worst than mine. Doors to get in room didn’t open all the way because it was hitting the bed. Rooms smells like smoke / musky smell. Used needles on ground backside of building.

Breakfast didn't have salt & pepper, condiments. Shabby bathroom.

How about for starters is clean the rooms!! I opened the door to my room and there was a cockroach on the floor! I told the person at the front desk and she told me they weren’t cockroaches…So that tells me she knew it had an insect issue.Then she offered to “ Get rid “ of the bug…Seriously! I will NEVER go to a Quality Inn again. I am going to inform my company of the issue and hopefully we can take you off the list!

I liked that there was hot water and that is really it. My stay did not go well. I did speak with 3 different employees and left a voicemail for the manager after I never heard anything back from my original complaint (AC not working)and I still never heard back upon checking out.

My room did not have any AC the first night. When we came in it was hot and muggy so we changed the setting to high. 6 hours later it was still hot so I went to the front and let them know. A gentleman came up to look and I assume nothing could be done bc he left, called 20min later said there were no other rooms available tonight but would speak with the manager tomorrow. Tomorrow came and I never got. Call back. I addressed this again at 830 am with the front stuff and said I would hear back. Nothing. At 1:30pm I addressed it again with another staff member and was told I would get a text when they heard from the manager. Never got a text so I called the manager myself and left a detailed voicemail and never got a return call. Evening came and my room had Ac working. Non the less I asked for a discount bc we didn’t have AC most of our stay and with a toddler that is extremely hard. I was told no discount would be given! Never staying here again and won’t recommend to anyone! That was my biggest issue. HOWEVER walls and floors were dirty if that interests anyone just a FYI

Good location

No water bottles available for purchase. I had to leave the property to get water bottles for my room. Two spiders in my room. Decor is very drab and tired. No instruction leaflet on how to operate TV. Windows don’t open more than a few inches. Coffee at breakfast was undrinkable. Had to go to DD. I was charged an extra fee for “incidentals” in case I trashed the room. It is refundable but still should have been listed when I booked the room.
