Days Inn by Wyndham Vancouver Downtown

The location was good. I would not stay again nor recommend.

Very expensive for a very poor standard. No toilets in lobby. The one lift was painstakingly slow. Strong smell of urine in the lobby. Generally very shabby. Staff were not particularly nice.

Green floors, green walls, green doors. It made the hotel look dark and dated.

I would agree with a previous review that stated that this is a place you can stay if you are only sleeping there and nothing else. The beds were comfortable, but the room itself resembled an office space in its layout, and a very basic refurbishment did not help to dispel this. The room was clean but did not feel clean - I kept expecting to find hair or dust somewhere. The hotel has a good location for exploring downtown Vancouver - several major attractions like Canada Place and Gastown are nearby - and fortunately there are also a number of good breakfast places (Artigiano, Guffo) nearby, as the breakfast at the hotel is minimal (no hot options) and the breakfast room is dark and dumpy. Staff were pleasant at the desk but not overly helpful and managed the details of check-in and check-out with minimal conversation. If you just need a place to sleep that's close to transportation (bus, seabus, Canada Line) this hotel fits the bill in the most basic way. If you want more than that, I suggest paying a bit extra for ambiance, greater cleanliness and a better breakfast experience.

Location was great

The breakfast was horrible. Hot stuffy basement room. Paper cups. paper plates and wooden cutlery.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the harbour, and it is an easy walk to many food and tourist attractions. The hotel was reasonably priced for Vancouver, and has the basic facilities to suit any traveller on the go. Although the rooms were rather small, they were clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and a special note about the manager who carried many bags downstairs after a power outage stopped the lift.

This isn’t a high-end hotel, so we didn’t expect fancy facilities. However the breakfast was a very basic continental style, served in the basement. The rooms would be improved by the addition of more hanging or shelving storage.

The location was the best thing about this room.

The room itself, the bathroom, the entrance to thw room. The shitty craftsmanship of the hotel and the darkness of the room.
