ESIf you are looking for something different this is your place. A really quiet place with no tourists and wonderful views. The way to arrive is an off-road and you need approximately 1h to go across 30km but it is really worth it because the surroundings are really beautiful. Having a 4x4 is not mandatory but I really recommend it to arrive. The cabin was perfect for 2 people and is fully equipped. It also has a hot tube outside that was a must to relax at the end of the day with great views to the fjord.
DEIt's a beautiful, cozy hut with breathtaking views into the mountains and over the fjord. So quiet and peaceful. Fully equipped kitchen, cute bathroom and a good mattress to sleep like a baby. The owners are very friendly and were extremely helpful to me on the first morning after arrival.... Also they gave me a nice hint to a hike above the hut, which was very nice. The beauty of the setting is definitely worth riding the not so nice unpaved road. Just take it easy, it's only 32km 😏 with great views.
The road IS tricky.....
LKHands down the best location in our 21 day trip around Iceland! Views were just breathtaking and the cottage was cozy and great! Absolutely loved our 2 night stay here. The host was also very friendly and greeted us on arrival and just before departure.

AUGreat views - right on the Fjord. Hot tub was perfect. Views on the way in and out were amazing, but two nights would be better than one, given the distance in.
Curtains were not blockout in the loft - so hard to sleep up there. Shower tiles old and chipped.
ISThis place was amazing. The view, the hot tub, everything about it was amazing. I couldn’t have imagined a better little place to stop for a couple of days. All I can say is WOW!

ILThe best accommodation we have stayed in Iceland! Absolutely secluded beautiful place. Cozy house with everything you need near the fjord. In addition, there is a jacuzzi and a grill.
everything was amazing
GBAmazing location and views, private hot tub, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. Had everything we needed even though the space was small. Easy communication with Margret. Lovely walks from the door - went berry picking, and walked down to the church and harbour all with a very friendly dog! The drive down the gravel road to get there is stunning. Even saw the Northern Lights on our first night in the hot tub.
Lots of spiders in the bathroom! Don't know where they kept coming from! Long drive to get anywhere, so decided to stay put and enjoy the surroundings rather than spend lots of time in the car.
