The Swan Inn

We stayed in the cygnet suit in November it was very spacious and comfortable The food was lovey the service was fantastic can’t recommend the swan enough we will be back to the warm welcome and fire very soon

The Swan in is a lovely inn/pub. The food is top notch and the service is excellent. The couple who run this establishment take the time to chat with customers and serve up delicious meals. They have taken care to curate a cozy and authentic British Inn atmosphere. The inn is immaculately clean, the fire places were stoked and the menu was varied for all tastes.

The property is in a quiet location. The room was tastefully decorated, with a very comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom. Service was brilliant, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

I've stayed at the Swan more than once before and that is a recommendation in itself. The bedrooms are beautiful, comfortable, very clean and pleasant smelling with a luxurious bath and one of the biggest most comfortable beds that can be found at any price range; they even have comfortable pillows - so rare in most hotels/guest houses. Downstairs, the bar is lovely with one or two open fires depending on the weather. Very lovely helpful bar staff and acoustics that allow you to talk to your partner. So why did I only give it four stars you may ask? Answer: they need to do much better at vegan or diary-free options both at dinner and breakfast. Such small changes are needed to take it from really lovely to nearly perfect. I wish I could have awarded them 4.5 but there is no such option. Surely it is not so hard to have some vegan butter, vegan pastries or whatever so that the breakfast is not quite so dull.

We have stayed in summer and garden fabulous but in the autumn winter It’s just a big hug ! Log fire and Lovely atmosphere in the bar /restaurant , staff lovely

I think a bigger space for just chilling ,ie mure sofas ,there are 2chairs around a fire if not busy !
