Cinnamon Bentota Beach - Signature Selection

It is amazing stay of the south coast in sri lanka, the resort huge one and lot to discover and the staff also very freindly , we had premium terrace king room which was front to the beach side with amazing view. Room was well cleaned and beautiful. Atmosphere is soo good to experience. Overall staff Services also quit good and quick. We will definitely comeback.

We have enjoyed a wonderful holiday at this hotel. All staff were amazing and so efficient kind and helpful. They all provided a kind and happy atmosphere throughout the. Our rooms were cleaned daily with kind housekeepers and we had a beautiful terrace and sea view. The grounds around the hotel were immaculate with beautiful trees and plants, and on hand pool staff who were always ready with a bright smile and towels for our sunbeds. Bar staff were on hand should you need a refreshing drink and bite to eat and also they did have sunbeds on the beach which could be used to enjoy the fabulously clean beach but very rough seas. The food at the restaurant breakfast and dinner was brilliant, so much choice and freshly cooked eggs anyway you choose cooked in front of you, fresh fruits salads, cereals, just anything you wanted, and if it wasn’t there you just asked and the chefs would do their best to provide. Dinner was the same. Such a variety on offer. The waiters were brilliant, couldn’t do enough BUT I would bring to the attention of diners that it was a very noisy restaurant and if there was a large crowd eating the noise from people talking and pushing their chairs back on the tiled floor was horrendous, it was soooo noisy you couldn’t hear yourself talk , I did mention it to the reception staff but I’m not sure if they would do anything once the hotel is less occupied. But it was really bad at times. Otherwise our holiday was fabulous and the staff, all of them played a part in ensuring we had everything we wanted and were so kind and caring it was very sad to leave. Meena who looked after us continued to do so throughout our stay and our thanks go to her and her colleagues and again all staff who went out of their way to make us smile every day. Can I also say that all staff who played cricket whilst we was there, WELL DONE. It was such a brilliant day, I was so happy watching and getting caught up in the excitement of the tournament amongst the different departments. Well done Housekeeping and awards going to the chefs, well deserved. I’m sorry if I’ve left anyone out, I couldn’t get my head around the names but you were all fabulous and Bob and I thank you so much for making our holiday so memorable.

This was the final stop on our tour of Sri Lanka and we saved the best for last! On arrival we were ceremonially "drummed" into the hotel (in a nice way!) and quickly provided with our room which was extremely comfortable, very clean and spacious. As in all of our hotels, the Sri Lankan staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous throughout our stay. The food was excellent with the usual Sri Lankan food (hoppers for breakfast!) as well as most of the standard options (for us tourists!), including Chinese, Thai etc. There was one large buffet restaurant plus a fish restaurant and an Italian. We had a nice meal at the fish restaurant, which we were allowed to use at reduced cost (instead of the buffet). However, for some (unknown and puzzling) reason this did not apply to the Italian and, possibly as a result of this, we never saw anyone in there, in the four nights of our stay. It seemed quite pointless to run a restaurant that was never used. Socially, it had a very large bar air conditioned upstairs (near reception) which we used most evenings before and after dinner. It was fine but perhaps a little too large (and therefore lacking a little atmosphere) and the some of the furniture wasn't especially comfortable. However, these are minor points. The gym was quite large, well equipped and air conditioned and there was very easy access to the beach. The pools were well attended with plenty of sun beds. Also, the pool temperature was perfect! So easy to get into! This was the only hotel I've ever been too, which offered a behind the scenes tour. We got to see the water, power and cooling systems (very impressive) which helped us understand how they dealt with the occasional power cuts that they suffered (which were very brief, due to the backup generators, and therefore weren't an issue at all). We also got a full tour of the kitchens and were able to see, first hand, how everything was completely spotless! I'm not sure many hotels would be prepared to offer this. Another minor negative when we checked out - the hotel had a dedicated departure desk (separate from reception). This should be fine, but we had a pre-7am departure for our flight and there was nobody at that desk until 7am - so we had to alert someone at reception. [This seemed illogical to me, as surely people are more like to leave than arrive at that time of day. Hopefully the hotel will take note of this] It was quite quickly sorted though and we were then treated to a lovely "departure ceremony" before we left. Please take the minor negatives into context - they were VERY minor (and hopefully show that we really did stay at this hotel!). All in all a wonderful place to stay. I would heartily recommend.

A beautiful design hotel with great service, staff with smiles all the time and helpful! The welcoming and check out with traditional Sri Lanka hospitality was exotic and beautiful presented. Foods are delicious and located just next to Bentota beach, quiet and relaxing! Just love it!

The floor was wet after adjusting the ac to higher temperature, guess mainly because of the humidity from ocean.

Poor enertainment on Hotel territorry, small fitness

After 10 days travelling around Sri Lanka, our last few days at Cinnamon Bentota Beach were a delight! We ate and slept exceptionally well, we lounged by the pool and we were treated wonderfully by all the staff team. As we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, it was lovely to be spoiled at every turn; whether it was our upgraded room, little treats such as fresh fruit basket and cookies in our room, to the blessing upon departure it was absolutely magical!
