Nice location

The new building seem very haphazardly built and the floors were damp. The rooms were not very aesthetic. I had attended a wedding there and they refused to give me the discount the wedding party was supposed to get despite number of emails. They don’t answer emails on a specific question but send generic replies. There are many many nice hotels in the region wouldn’t stay here again

Absolutely amazing resort, one of the best ones we have ever been to anywhere. The hotel is top quality everywhere, the breakfast and dinner selection is huge, widely varied and delicious. (Great selection of vegetarian options as well as choices for picky children). The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is located right next to a beach which is very clean with long sandy beaches and clean water and which is not crowded at all. When we were there we had really big waves and spent hours on end in the sea. The pools and facilities inside the resort are also great with a very nice and tasteful atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a nice relaxing stay in comfort and next to a beatiful beach.

There are not many shops or restaurants to visit outside the resort itself so if you want to do any significant shopping or if you are looking for nightlife, you might need to get a tuktuk somewhere. We were there as a family and we had already done all the shopping we needed to this was not an issue at all for us, this is just a note for anyone that might find this important.

We liked the pool and the ocean access. The food selection was good. It was a very enjoyable stay.

I had a great two night stay at the Cinnamon Bentota. I loved the Geoffrey Bawa tour given by Lahiru - the background to the design of the hotel made this a unique stay. Janaka took great care of me during my dinner at Sea Meat Spice. I had a wonderful time in the pool and was very comfortable in my room. For what it’s worth, I was staying solo as a woman and felt very safe during my stay.

It was truly an amazing stay from start to finish. From the moment we arrived until our departure, we were made to feel incredibly welcomed and well taken care of. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making the entire experience even more relaxing. The food was absolutely outstanding ,easily a 10/10 with every meal being delicious and beautifully presented. What made the stay even more special was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. A special thank you to Hasitha for kindly taking us around the hotel and making us feel so comfortable, and to Sathsara for serving our meals with such genuine kindness and a beautiful smile throughout. Their service and attention to detail truly made our stay memorable.

Beach front - beautiful views - very good room + terrace. Would recommend highly for family travel, for luxury, peace and mental freedom.

Great property - but came in May so property and Bentota was largely empty. So became very boring even for 24-36 hours I was there
