"Amazing place to rest and recharge solo."

Beautiful location. Very private. It had all the required amenities. Easy to drive to, no 4WD necessary, the road up was totally fine, small area with a few potholes easily passable with care. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. Easy to order dinner for delivery. Coffee made to help yourself to at the reception area. I stayed solo and felt very safe. There are bugs but nothing out of the ordinary for the middle of the rainforest. There was a large spider in the sink area the ladies kindly removed for me.

Housekeeping would have been nice but it did mean my stay was very private. The hot tub isn’t really a hot tub, I would say it’s more of a bath. The jets weren’t strong at all and it fills with leaves and twigs in the wind. No where to buy drinks so go via the supermarket on your way.

Such a beautiful spot! The views are spectacular. We enjoyed looking out and watching the wildlife by the pool. Short scenic drive to town. Food delivery available . It apears that they are working to renovate and add new things to the property, I'd be curious to see how it all comes together in the future.

We found they focused their attention on the domes as the apartments where run down and not equipped as well. Possibly a reno coming as they are no longer on the site. We unfortunately had a huge ant problem and had to throw out some food when we woke up. We where a group of 5 and wished there where more seats outside, easy fix thought !

I stayed 2 nights in one of the "cabins" (my unit was not actually detached so a little odd to call it a cabin but whatever), not one of the domes. It was spacious (travelled solo and was in a room with apace for 5) and the views were amazing from the room and the property. I saw a Toucan fly by my first evening and the night sounds of the surrounding jungle were fabulous. Kitchenette was adequate - had a microwave, mini fridge, hot plate, coffee maker, and basic tableware. Road to access is paved except the final 50 yards and in good shape overall, it is very narrow, steep, and windy. The nearest restaurant is about a mile away. Downsides: No hot water or A/C (happily high enough up that it did cool off enough at night that I slept pretty well) and I was pretty hot by the time I got there each day so the cool shower wasn't bad either.

The location of the Dome provided us with spectacular views. It was a unique first experience. The breakfast was outstanding. I'd revisit just for breakfast!

Having to go out to the bathroom if needed, especially during the night.

El Mirador was an excellent place to stay. The staff were excellent and the cabin was very nice and well stocked (full kitchen). The grounds are beautiful! It is a bit out of the way and isolated from other attractions but there are some restaurants that deliver from the town and it’s not too far of a drive from other destinations, if you have your own transportation (not walkable). All in all, a great stay. Would stay again.
