La ubicación.

La especificación de que la ducha es solamente con agua fria, no se observa cuando uno hace la reservación en booking.

The staff were lovely! The price for the location is great value, and it has a home-like feel with great decoration in the common areas.

Very comfortable bed (mattress) and clean room. About 20min walk from Centro…nice to see the streets in between to discover many cool local spots. And close to the carretera that can take you to Tule etc.

There seemed to be an echo in the building. Like when the guest next door would close the door. But the hardest was the guests upstairs on my second night…they were talking very loud and it vibrated through the walls…even with the windows closed (which I didn’t like that I had to close when I wanted fresh air). This was my only issue because I needed to sleep a because I had an early start the next morning.

The hosts - VERY RESPONSIVE AND HELPFUL, AMAZING!

The room - like on the photos but what you can't see is there is big whole around the door and you can hear every single thing a neighbour is doing. The winow to the street - all cars, all dogs, the noise like in your room.

The space was nice.

The sinks were horribly dirty, like I have never seen before. I told the staff and they came twice to “clean” it, but never did.

Great experience. Peaceful street. Nice living with lot of extra small details you appreciate. All good. Happy to come back sometimes.

Manager Denia is amazing!!!, super nice, very friendly, and attentive. I let her know that I was going to get there a little late after close and asked if that was okay, and she was very accommodating and patient and showed me the common areas and we chatted a little while longer. She made me feel welcomed. I was there only one night, my room faced the street and there was no traffic or street noise. It was a very quiet and restful sleep. The room was very clean and cozy. Comfy bed. The WiFi was very good. Lots of closet space with hangers. My room was small, which was all I needed for an overnight stay. The room was organized in a way that it didn't feel small. The common area included a sitting area and kitchen with facilities to make coffee and a quick meal. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. A couple of months ago, a friend and I went to Casa de la Cultura Oaxaqueña, they offer classes, they have programs and they have beautiful art, a 9 minute walk from Casa Gecko, then we ate at the vegan restaurant in the area, Los Muchitos Comida Vegana, exceptional food, great service and friendly staff, a 3 minute walk. And then we walked to Centro. We had so much fun checking out all of the shops along the way to Centro. I would definitely stay at Casa Gecko again!

The shower. It's set in the middle of the small bathroom between the toilet and the sink right at the door. And, the window curtains didn't close all the way. The curtain rod was too short, it didnt extend far enough from the side of the window.
