Hyatt Place Tucson Central

Great location, clean hotel, friendly staff, not loud at all. Yes it is an older hotel but it does not have the musty scent that comes along with older hotels. We never felt unsafe in the hotel, parking lot or exterior of the hotel. They do a great job of keeping things clean.

The hotel is so close to I-10, that you hear road noise constantly. Being in that part of Tucson, you also hear sirens A LOT. Homeless everywhere. There’s a total dump of a motel next door. The room had numerous issues both housekeeping and maintenance. Overall we were not pleased with the value. Hyatt should be better than this. Told front desk that the main TV didn’t work. He said there was nobody there to take care of it, but he’d let maintenance know. No offer to give us a different room.

Great location, well-appointed and properly maintained, the staff were amazing and very friendly, every staff you encounter is very helpful, and certainly a comfortable stay, highly recommend

Great central location. I live in Los Angeles. I read other reviews about the location being unsafe, but I felt completely safe. I didn't see anything worrisome. Plus, the hotel has a security guard outside at night. One of my key desires in a hotel is strong wifi. I didn't need to Zoom from my hotel room so I don't know if the wifi holds up for Zoom, but I was very happy with download speeds while downloading podcasts to my iPhone. The wifi is strong enough to be used in the parking lot. In-room fridge/freezer was very cold. I turned it to low, and it was cold enough to freeze items on the top shelf. In-room microwave was super convenient. Towels were a bit lower quality than expected. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were OK but not great, as expected from Hyatt Place. The pillow quality is never great for me at Hyatt Place properties. Air conditioner/heater worked well and temperature settings seemed accurate. Breakfast was good and typical of Hyatt Place but they had the added treat of tomato juice, which I've never seen at hotel breakfasts. Several guests were delighted by the tomato juice. The kitchen staff refilled breakfast foods that were running low. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast staff. My room did not have a sofa (as many Hyatt Place properties have). I would definitely stay here again. The only low points - 1) My desk lamp flickered. The front desk had the lamp switched but the second lamp also flickered. When I filled out a post-stay survey, the hotel General Manager replied that it's a problem with LED lamps, and they are in the process of changing out the lamps. The front desk staff is apparently unaware of that. 2) There was a small piece of missing baseboard by the shower. 3) One towel hook was loose. 4) I only wanted housekeeping one day out of a 4-night stay, but no housekeeper came. I only wanted clean wash clothes. That being said, the pros far outweigh the cons, and I highly recommend this hotel.

Not much close by but good for and over night. My room the AC made so much noise it was distracting and impossible to sleep.My saving grace, I have hearing aids and I couldn't hear it once I took them out. This is wilting Violet but very good sleep comfort and good Internet

Bad experience. Place is old and not well maintained. Staff is curt. Food is either undercooked or overcooked. House keeping not done as expected. Missing toiletries. Dusty room.

The Staff was amazing. Everyone we encountered was a joy.

The location. The pictures look nothing like the location. Very shady location. Homeless people with Gas station in same parking location I guess nothing can be done. Security should definitely be around 24/7.

Relaxing stay at the Hyatt Tucson-Central. Please don't hesitate to stay here from some of the negative reviews. It's quiet, safe, and the rooms are clean. The breakfast is clean with tasty selections especially the sausage, waffles, and salsa. Pool (heated) and hot tub in a large area with plenty of chairs. Friendly and helpful staff.
