Stay at Mare

I liked that I was given a very nice new room right away once I informed them that the ac was not working.I also lived there was a pool in the property.I didn’t like that my original room didn’t have air for two (2) nights & the room was SUPER small & not modern. I also didn’t like there was no designated parking.

I really loved the entire look of this place; it is absolutely beautiful. The tranquility and coziness' we felt was exactly what we needed. The patio and pool area were nice, and were nicely surrounded by beautiful, placed plants and lots of greenery, the pool felt to always be the perfect temperature... It would have been nice to maybe have a few more towels in the room after a few days... but we made it work. The shower doesn't have anything to hold shampoo or soap, so we had to throw on the floor... There are no shelves or hooks anywhere in the room to hang anything in the room, and the nightstand space is defiantly not enough for all the personal stuff you'd like to keep out like lotion, deodorant, sunscreen and etc... Also, keep in mind as I said no hooks so things took long to dry, but we were in the bird nest room and my husband would put some stuff outside to dry which didn't take too long considering the weather. Location is in a good area, literally a 3-minute walk to the beach, plenty of food restaurants, bars and gas stations close by. Less than 10 minutes away from Old San Juan with plenty of Ubers always close, with not very long wait times... We are used to a king size, and I didn't realize how small a queen bed was till our first night, but the bed is very comfortable, so it wasn't too bad... The TV could be raised as it's so low it was hard to watch tv once we were actually in bed and had the comforter on it covered half the tv. Also, maybe update some pictures, bird nest showed to nice chairs on the balcony, and we only had one wicker chair.... which was very disappointing as it was both me and my husband... -A suggestion would be to add a full body mirror in the rooms. It would be nice to see how you look especially when on vacation!

Overall we had a nice stay. The room we initially were given was way too small. It was like an oversized closet. But staff was kind enough to let us use a larger room which we enjoyed much better. I did not like the concrete floors and the ants were getting under the door and coming into the room. The water pressure on the shower head was very low. Staff was very responsive and the washer and dryer was a plus. The location is the best! Literally steps away from the beach and many restaurants. Ubers had no problem finding us.

Pool and location were great. Comfortable beds too.

Seemed like there was construction going on (or staff present) and can hear them all talking very loud at 7am. Poor water pressure in the shower.

We are so glad we chose Stay at Mare! The distance to the beach was very short and convenient. Even though the beach was down the street, the pool was also awesome for us to get in after we left the beach. It was also a 15 minute walk to a ton of restaurants up the street and about a 10 minute drive to Old San Juan. The Uber was very cheap in Puerto Rico and they easily picked us up/dropped us off. The rooms were clean and Esmeralda (management) was so friendly and helpful. The back area with the kitchen the free waters in the fridge was a huge plus!

Clean and efficient. Great mattress in my room...room smelled awesome too.... Best AC Unit I ever had in my life... just because of this I will go back. But in addition it's well located. Too bad some guests don't clean up after themselves but the place gets cleaned several times a day anyway... Rooms could use a few more wall shelves...it would help a lot..

Not a typical hotel; there is no front desk and maids did not come. But the room has enough basics and beach towels, was lovely and comfortable. The property was very nice and even came with a cat. Loved the pool. Great location, next to all the restaurants you could want and 2 blocks from a beautiful beach.

We loved our stay! Clean property, great staff and right by the beach. We will absolutely be back.
