The Ayres Hotel Costa Mesa/Newport Did not disappoint. It actually excelled. Would recommend it to all my friends. Such a professional hotel was such friendly staff. Love the European . Very convenient to everything five star all the way for me.

I've stayed at some rather dicey places in Costa Mesa - Newport Beach, and the Ayres Hotel is clearly a step up. It is near the airport (SNA, John Wayne Airport) and offers an airport shuttle. I noticed a smell of smoke mixed with air freshener outside the entrances. I found the layout slightly confusing, with signage for exits and pool and front desk not all that easy to follow. There is a parking fee, but even so the parking was almost full when I checked in.

Lovely and friendly staff

The elevator closest to our room was not working for several days. However it was repaired before we left which our experience end a good note. I would stay there again

The room size and set up was good for the 1 bedroom suite.

The first room had a strong odor. The carpeting is old and dingy looking. The furniture and decor are dated. The airplane noise can be annoying until it stops after hours. .
