Sands Motel

Across the street from the beach. 2 pools, elevators, wifi, efficiency room with view of pool/ocean had two queen beds and a pull out couch. Staff was friendly. Clean facility.

One of the elevators was out of service and had been for some time. Put a strain on the remaining working elevator which was awfully slow - room was on the 5th floor so using the stairs was a difficult option. Room was hot, AC only cooled the bedroom it was located in, had to purchase a tower fan to cool the living room area during my stay as the cool air did not reach this portion of the room. Had a stove top, no pots/pans to cook with, but it did have a microwave and toaster. Bathroom did not have a working exhaust fan so moisture never leaves the room. Smells damp all the time. Couch was a pull out bed however it was almost broken, in couch mode it was crushed down and the bars showed through the cushions so it couldn't be sat on to watch tv without discomfort. When opened it almost fell apart as a bed. I purchased an air mattress from walmart and kept it in the middle of the living room for my entire stay. This was used as seating for watching TV and as our 3rd bed since the couch couldn't be used. Wifi was spotty, dropped constantly. Parking was very difficult, not uncommon in Wildwood but there should be enough spots for all units and there was not.

We had a great experience at the Sands Motel. From the moment we called to arrange rooms close to our family, the staff were super helpful and friendly. Check-in was easy, and anytime we needed something, like extra towels the room service was quick to help. The pool was clean and made for a perfect evening swim after spending the day at the beach. We loved having a balcony with an ocean view because it was such a peaceful way to start and end each day. Plus, the location was ideal. Everything we wanted to check out including the boardwalk was within walking distance, which made the whole trip even better.

They are currently upgrading some rooms and there were some minor things in the room that could use upgrading but it did not impact our stay. The elevators could use some upgrades but were in working condition.
