Hotel Washington

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Washington, and I would especially like to thank Mary for her excellent service. She was professional, attentive, and responsible throughout my stay. In addition, the housekeeping service was outstanding—my room was always kept clean and well-organized, which made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Mary’s dedication and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of her work. Her professionalism and warm attitude made my stay even more enjoyable and memorable. I truly appreciate her hard work and would highly recommend this hotel because of outstanding staff members like her.

The location is excellent; the Department of the Treasury is directly across the street, and it is very close to the White House. Subway and bus stations are about a ten-minute walk away, making transportation quite convenient.

The standard rooms are extremely small; with three people and two pieces of luggage, you are left with very little room to move around. The smell of fresh renovations is quite strong, and there is no ventilation system; some windows cannot be opened, leaving you to rely solely on the air conditioning for air circulation—an experience that is deeply uncomfortable. Opting for a Deluxe Street View room offers a slightly larger footprint and marginally better spatial conditions. However, the issue with the lingering smell of renovations persists; opening the windows for ventilation introduces significant street noise that disrupts rest, while keeping them closed results in poor air circulation and stale air. The washbasin is tiny, making the simple act of washing up a chaotic struggle, and water tends to splash all over the floor after a shower. Considering all the above—combined with a nightly rate of over $400 (inclusive of taxes)—this hotel offers virtually no value for money.

Neighbors were easily heard through the connecting suite door. Maybe add a sound damping panel or coating between the doors to mitigate this issue.

Manny has been really nice and helpful in explaining the menu and offered recommendations that suited our needs. Food is absolutely great. Will definitely come back! 🩷

Wonderful experience for our last few hours of the week. Carlos, our waiter, was professional and accommodating. Food presentation was eye-catching and delicious. Worth the visit.
