Great location, provisions and host

We enjoyed the location, quiet. Also loved that Russ allowed us to have our little dog for a few nights and the king bed was comfortable. We met Russ on our first days stay, communication with Russ is amazing.

Upon arrival, the accommodation presented well… upon entering, the room smelled of dog and the air was quite damp and musky even after opening all windows and doors and having the fans and dehumidifier on. The dehumidifier unit needed emptying almost 4 times a day. The photos advertising the property were quite misleading, we did not know that the villa was connected to another room and also visible from the main guest house. The room is quite dark and especially the balcony showing a vibrant and comfortable outdoor bbq and outdoor lounge area that we looked forward to using but the outdoor area did not look as appealing and welcoming as presented in photos, with twigs and leaves on the furniture and ground. Theres also a big enough gap between the flooring and the balcony railings for a small dog to get under if they are prone to escaping, thankfully our dog isn’t as eager to try. The dining room chairs were sunken in so eating a meal at the dining table was impossible as we did not want to cause more damage to the chairs. The booking showed that breakfast was included such as pastries, yoghurt, cereal which is something we always try to book as we like to wake early and then explore in the morning rather than go out and buy breakfast. Although we appreciated the pastries and muffins and yoghurt provided. We had were provided yoghurt, milk, bread and juice and tea/coffee but were only given some pastries and a few muffins on the first day (only), which were in a container in our fridge for a 5 days stay. We don’t know how these were prepared or when they were bought so we did not touch them. We try to look at the positives in each place we book but just like many others, we work hard and look forward to time we have off of work to relax and unwind. So these few inconveniences were not so pleasurable on our time away from life’s stresses especially coming all the way from Darwin.

Well set up for our dog

Very peaceful and private. Beautiful bush land outlook and close to national park for walking/riding. Gorgeous bird life. Having breakfast provided was very nice, and allowed us to have a relaxed start to each day. Also, coffee machine was a welcome touch. Bed was cosy and shower hot and wonderful after some busy days exploring. We left feeling very relaxed and glad we tried something different from a standard ‘beach stay’ holiday.

We liked it all, but would be wonderful to have a better cover over the deck so it could be enjoyed even if it was raining. Also be aware that you are a drive away from everything, assuming you want to be out and about.

A lovely quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Noosa, but still quite close to the beaches and shopping. The elevated rainforest setting is very tranquil. Great feel about the villa with natural timber and Balinese decor. The supplied breakfasts with pastries, cereals, fresh fruit and espresso coffee was a welcome treat. Cooking options are the airfryer, microwave or barbecue.

The location, the retreat facility was well equipped and a great variety of foods for breakfast were supplied. The place was lovely and clean when we arrived. Definitely recommend this place and would try to book again on my next trip to the area.
