MainStay Suites Joliet I-55

Wow! The bathroom had not been cleaned. Stains in the toilet and shower. The room was filthy and not maintained. Stains on the walls and lampshades. My wife used one clean wet wipe on the switches of the lamp between the beds (our son was with us too), and it was filthy. The baseboard was coming off the wall. Rust on the hinges and walls, paint missing, food stuck to the kitchen cabinets, etc. We canceled our room and went to a different hotel.

Rooms looked like they made an attempt to update … but pretty poor attempt.. 4 night stay without housekeeping is not a good look … had to exchange towels at front desk.

This is definitely a value hotel, but I found the bed very comfortable and the amenities were nice. Fresh coffee in the lobby, very friendly and helpful staff. I really liked the full size fridge in the kitchenette, perfect for a family party weekend!

There's a pool on the property.

All staff isn't educated on the pool. They should know wearing anything other than swimwear damages the pool water.

Poor circulation, the smell of old trash and pets in the hallways. Bathroom fan didn't work when it did very loud. If its a bed you need You get what you pay for.
