MainStay Suites Joliet I-55

The hot tub was cold and green, the ice machine was not working, stale breakfast muffins, 2 lamps in room did not work

We had stayed here before, but I had called ahead to see if the hot tub was working and was told “it is today”. But when we arrived, the hot tub was running but the water wasn’t even warm. The water looked dark green and the bubbles were a brown color. And there was no breakfast anymore.

The one staff member was able to find me an iron and was helpful with the lack of parking.

My room smelled of marijuana, a few of my towels were stained, the lack of an iron in my room, the tile on the floor was higher than the transition strip, elevator wasn't the cleanest and no regular coffee at the front this morning.

The room was really clean and modern. It was also very quiet

The staff was our only issue. I booked a king room MONTHS in advance, and when we arrived they put us in a queen room and when I brought it up, they said they didn’t have any king rooms to move us to. They did give us a small discount, but the smaller bed really affected how well my husband and I slept.

The staff were very nice. No problems in this area.

The hotel is very dirty. In the rooms and all throughout.

The front desk gal was nice

This place is run down. It was dirty everywhere. Just gross

Close to a lot of stores. Kitchenette was nice.

Our room wasn’t thoroughly clean. Toilet kept getting clogged.. hallway smell like smoke, dirty, and out dated, the 3rd night the smell of smoke and marijuana was coming through our door.. loud in the morning.

The room was not cleaned and food on the floor and I had to sweep. The sheets had hair on the sheet and I had to replace all of sheet myself and clean.

When i walked into the room, it STUNK of sweaty socks. The smell was so pungent i had to go and buy a scented candle to mask the smell. The bed was super comfy but the bathroom was TINY.
