Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Willow Grove

My stay was not off to a good start as I was told my room was not ready while watching 3 people check in ahead of me. However when a new front desk manager started she helped me right away and upgraded me to a suite for waiting. Changed the feel for the stay completely. Breakfast was very good as well.

I booked this hotel for my wife while we were traveling for work filming dance recitals. My only expectation was that she would have a safe, clean, and quiet place to rest after long workdays. Unfortunately, that is not what she experienced. Upon arrival, she immediately noticed that the property was dark, excessively warm, and had a strong musty or mold-like odor. The condition of the room was concerning enough that she felt compelled to change the bed linens herself. The more serious issues began that evening. On the first night, groups of teenagers were running through the hallways, banging on doors, yelling, and creating a significant disturbance. My wife became so uncomfortable that she placed a chair against the door because she no longer felt secure in her room. The following night, the situation repeated itself. Once again, loud and unruly guests gathered directly outside her room. Calls to the front desk did not resolve the issue. At that point, my wife called me in tears and told me she felt safer sleeping in her car than remaining in the hotel. Concerned for her safety, I contacted the front desk and requested that management address the situation. I also asked to speak with the General Manager but never received a return call. During my conversation with the front desk, I learned that a group was staying at the hotel. While I understand that group business is important, paying guests should not be expected to sacrifice their comfort, safety, and ability to sleep simply because a larger group is generating revenue. To be clear, this complaint is not about a slightly noisy hotel or an aging property. It is about a hotel's responsibility to provide a safe environment for its guests and to respond appropriately when guests report behavior that makes them feel unsafe. I ask management to consider how they would feel if it were their spouse or daughter alone in a hotel room, frightened enough to barricade the door and contemplate sleeping in a vehicle rather than remaining on the property. As a Hilton Honors Gold member, I am deeply disappointed by both the condition of the property and the apparent lack of response when legitimate safety concerns were reported. I am requesting that Hilton Corporate review this matter and investigate whether this property is meeting the standards associated with the Hilton brand. No guest should have to endure the experience my wife endured during this stay

Don’t waste your money here. Hilton needs to remove their name from this property as the place does not represent what we associate with Hilton. I will just post a long list of complaints. 2 elevators both tawdry and in need of a deep cleaning. One did not work most of the time. One often did stop aligned with the outside floor so a real tripping Hazzard. Hallways are dingy and carpet in need of a good vacuuming but also a deep cleaning. We attempted to mail a post card and clerk had no idea of how to accept outgoing mail. We only hope our friends receive the card. That was unsettling. How the hell could a desk clerk not know anything about the mail. The shower had rust and mold but the worst part is you could not adjust the water temp. The water was either scalding hot or ice cold. There was not what we would consider shower temperature water. No matter how we tried with the hardware there was no appropriate temperature water. The ultimate was breakfast. They put out a basket of overripe bananas and what we called dead oranges. Every orange in the basket was either deflated or rotted. Come on, someone had to see the oranges were not edible. We are Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden inn devotees as we travel so much for work. Every now and then you run into a glitch which is easily handled and not a complaint. The Hampton Inn Willow Grove is more than just a glitch. We have checked out this morning, another issue. The Diamond Desk assured us last night they cancelled remainder of the reservation. Desk was unaware. We are moving 5 miles away to a Hampton Inn that is the difference between well kept and the dump we are leaving.

Location was good, right off the turnpike, will consider staying here again

Didn't like how the ceiling in room 315 stuckle had fell off the ceiling and the sink in bathroom was cracked and repaired. The air conditioner seemed to be struggling had it on 69 and room was just cool. But that could of been because it was 97 degrees

Good location. Coffee bar in the lobby 24x7

Exercise room had good set of dumbbells but the other equipment was not good. Suggest adding a couple bike machines, pull-up apparatus with pulley weights and one more adjustable bench.
