Park Home in Golden Sands Holiday Park

Staff in the Sandpiper Bar & Restaurant very friendly and welcoming, also offered advice on local areas - best places to shop, and amenities on site. For the price we paid it was good value for money once we learned how to operate the water, electric and wifi and yes I would use again. However make sure to take your own cooking pots with you. We loved the site itself and would like to return again in the summer months. The caravan was lovely and warm, we were expecting it to be slightly cold with it being winter, but the heating was sufficient and it was nice and cosy.

No welcome pack showing how to use facilities i.e. where to turn water on or password for wifi, had to call owner. Not enough cooking pans ( good job I took my own) or ceral/sweet dishes (3). No door mat to wipe feet on when you come in. Description slightly misleading as it said it opened out onto the beachfront, especially with the picture that they used. We took it that we were actually looking out to the sea from the beach. We were one row behind, however there was a gap in between the caravans in front of us to allow you to just about see the sea. The problem we had with this was the caravan to the right in front had 2 vehicles parked up, one being a van so it blocked the view. Plus we booked the caravan for my 91 year old mother to see the sea as she has been very poorly lately and had recently come out of hospital, so this was not good for her as she is classed as partially blind, so with the vehicles parked up they were spoiling the view of what she could actually see.

Rubbish, terrible place we do not recommend anyone to go here at all.

There was damp all over the mattress and duvets. The smell of damp was unbearable. We had to get a hotel room for the last night as our kids were really tired from not being able to sleep the night before, the mattress was so thin that the springs were coming out off the foam. The kitchen was greasy and really filthy same with the bathroom.

Being charged for site fees even though we weren't going g to use the facilities the caravan only some of the lounge lights worked .. no instructions for heating caravans cramped together like a German POW camp

The caravan was misrepresented, stated that it was sea facing, it was but another row of caravans in front, couldn't cook a meal because there was only one saucepan, the blinds were of mixed sizes that wouldn't close properly, no privacy at night, two sets of doors, only one key.the state of the blinds as been mentioned in many reviews, why was this addressed??

When booked we thought the caravan in the picture was what we were getting. We got a row behind. Lack of outdoor sitting furniture.

Great place, amazing location and lovely people and food.

The fact I had to pay an extra £120 for the facilities (which we didn't use because we were there for 3 days exploring the area and when tried to book swimming we couldn't) and wasn't told untill I'd paid for the holiday. The caravan wasn't clean at all and smelt really bad when we arrived.
