Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street

The team at Taste including Amy, Steven, Rich, Sumi, Antonio, and Paula were awesome! Great service. We had 17 people for dinner. They setup a table in the back area. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. If you want a great dinner or lunch swing by!

Was at the pool all day Saturday and Sunday it was great.. Steven was my bartender he was great and very attentive.. would recommend him to anyone 💯💯💯

This was the perfect hotel to stay the night before our cruise the next day. Accommodated us with early check in. Kathleen at the front desk was simply amazing. Goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and truly builds a relationship with her customers. She made our stay 5 stars. I don’t think we have ever been treated so good as Kathleen treated us. Make sure you ask for Kathleen at the front desk for anything you need.

I just wanted to take a moment to highlight the exceptional experience we had with Kathleen at the front desk at the Embassy Suites by Hilton. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly delightful and warmly attentive. She took her time with us, ensuring we felt welcome and fully informed. Her explanations were clear, and she went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything about the hotel. It’s evident that she’s not only skilled but carries a wealth of experience, which shows in her thoughtful approach and professionalism. Rohtleen truly made our stay outstanding, and she’s absolutely deserving of five stars. We can’t thank her enough for making us feel so cared for!

Location was alright

I know it’s Florida, but it just seems like this location heavily embraces the swampy, damp, dankness of Florida. The hotel smells like cigarettes and wet carpet. Once I walk into my room it smells chemically (perhaps a cocktail of bleach, ammonia, raid or something along those lines) I did my regular wipe down and didn’t see any creepy crawlers. And then…I walked out to the living room and saw a cockroach prancing across the wall. I killed it. Called the front desk and they sent the maintenance man. He came didn’t seem concerned at all, spread raid, then left without saying anything. Freaked out I proceed to check the mattress for bed bugs and found two stains and dirt on the mattress. I’m freaking out. I go to the front desk and show her a picture of the dead bug and she’s a bit more empathic but doesn’t seem phased. She asks me what the maintenance man looks like. I describe him and she then goes to the back office to find him. She comes back and says she will change my room from 718 to 717. I ask what they typically do when a customer complains about a cockroach and she says “we normally kill it and move the guest room a new room”. That’s such a shame and will not cut it. That makes no sense to me because the cockroaches obviously call this hotel home. I told her that’s not going to cut it and she offers $100 off. I’m still not happy so I quietly go back to my room to quickly gather my belongings because there’s no way I’m sleeping there. It’s about 1am and I get to the front desk to checkout and there is now a man there and I tell him about my experience. He doesn’t care. I ask him for my bill and he says he can’t tell me until they complete their room audit. Sounds fishy so I say thank you and begin to exit the premises. This brand of hotels will never have my business and I will be disputing any and all charges placed on my credit card.
