The Amrta Borobudur

Perfect location to stay near Borobudur, 5 min walking distance to Gate 7 to enter the temple complex, where we join the sunrise tour on top of the temple. Friendly staff and very helpful, we had coffee and drinks for breakfast as we had already breakfast after the sunrise tour. On the older part of hotel are cabins with swimming pool, looks tempting unfortunately we didn't try it as we had to check out and move on to our next destinations.

No curtain on the shower, so some water might splash to bathroom floor, could be better, other than this everything was great ! Would stay here again for next trip to Borobudur !

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff

Friendly staff, especially the taxi driver they arranged to pick me up / drop me at the airport. Let me use the pool after I'd checked out. Close to Boropudur via a short taxi.

Not their fault but relatively near the road. Worth bringing earplugs/white noise app if a light sleeper (inc. for call to prayer in am).

The hotel is very close to Borobudur, and since I had a sunrise tour, it was very convenient to walk there from the hotel. The route was well lit with bright street lighting, and I felt safe throughout the walk.

My trip was too short, I’d definitely love to stay there again in the future.

Vriendelijke en behulpzame medewerkers en een aantal doen hun best De kamer was prima, lekker bed, goede douche. Waterkoker en koelkast aanwezig. Saai restaurant, maar het eten vond ik heel goed.

Kamer met tuinzicht is niet helemaal wat je dan verwacht. Je ziet wel wat groen, maar voornamelijk geparkeerde auto's. Vond de lokatie toch iets te ver van restaurants en centrum. Ingang Borobudur is niet op loopafstand, werd wel gebracht achter op de scooter. Het restaurant is niet echt gezellig, maar het is eten is heel goed. Er zijn wel wat medewerkers die niet helemaal snappen dat het voorgerecht vóór het hoofdgerecht komt, maar okay.

We discovered this hotel by chance after having to abandon our 3 night stay at a nearby hotel. Wow, what an upgrade! We stayed in the newer building and booked a deluxe double room. The views across the rice fields toward Merapi are exceptional! The room was pretty basic but very clean and everything worked! The breakfast was tasty & the staff were all pleasant and helpful. The location was great, within walking distance to a heap of restaurants just up the road. Loved our stay, good value for money 😊

The breakfast can be improved

The location was great. Right near Borobadur. But the entrance is on the other side, so it would be better to have been a bit closer. The first room they put us in was horrible. Overlooking the car park which is not what was shown in the pictures of what we booked. They moved us to a better room which was good. Breakfast was nice. Varied food and delicious.

The first room we were put in was definitely not what we had booked. We tried to hire bikes or mopeds and wasted a lot of time going back and forth with them phoning people and then disappearing. So we never got bikes in the end which was a bit disappointing Beds are so hard. Seems to be standard here. Quite uncomfortable
