everything was perfect! they were so nice to us and gave us amazing suggestions for Matera and Bari! really really kind and helpful the cave room was super nice and very clean! it looks even better than in the photos! the breakfast was amazing! it had salty and sweet options, which were both great!

this is a first class acco, we loved our stay from the beginning to the end.. Paola and Francesco make the real difference- so helpful, location is perfect, the room was much nicer in reality than on the pictures. lovely terrace and wonderful breakfast. The weee many candles in the room, the room was warm - i was a bit worried as the outside temperature was low, beautiful hot tube, nice towels, comfortable beds.. everything was soo perfect with such a nice details.. we are use to stay in nice hotels, so in general we have high expectation, that are not always met, but in case, our expectation were exceeded. Also the price was nice and as we made a mistake in kids age when booking the rooms, they very flexibly solved it… thank you and hope to come back one time.

Short walk to town, friendly host

Staying in a cave is ok 1 night for novelty but room is not functional or comfortable. Dark room (cave, no windows), lacking furniture to put suitcases or set or hang things. Literally lived out of suitcases on the floor for 3 nights. Unless the weather is nice (3 nights of bad weather (cannot blame anyone!) for us you cannot enjoy any outdoor space here) breakfast is indoors. We were visiting late March. Matera can be enjoyed fully within 2 nights.

Very friendly staffs and owners. Exceptional location to attractions, restaurants, and shops. Awesome breakfast. If you want full cave experience, this place is the perfect place to stay. Owners are very knowledgeable and will help with anything you need. Definitely recommend this place.

Water pressure in shower could be better.

We had one of the best experiences staying in Aque cave. First of all, the owner Francesco is very well organized - before our arrival we received a (highly appreciated) message with all the important information - very kind and always available! The structure is located in the sassi of Matera and the room was even better than the pictures, warm and sparkling clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was just beautiful. Francesco makes sure that you are provided with everything needed to make your staying unforgettable. The breakfast included a lot of local delicacies, both sweet and savory. It's definitely a place to include in your bucket list!
