Courtyard by Marriott Portland Tigard

A clean modern hotel with spacious rooms exactly what you would expect.

Hotel is fine however a total bummer that they charge $10 per night for parking yet have no parking security. Car next to us has its window smashed over night and they looked through the back of our truck canopy too. Not a safe place to park over night.

Very nice rooms

We understand a "great hotel" is defined differently for everyone. This Courtyard in Tigard is a GREAT hotel for us. Conveniently located just off of the I-5 Freeway, yet very quiet. We requested a room on the opposite side of the freeway, the front desk told us we may hear the train that passes through from time to time. We never really noticed it as we only returned at night to sleep. This is a great location for us, as this was a wine tasting weekend. It is just 15 minutes away from central part of Portland, with reasonable room rates and plenty of parking. While it is disappointing that Marriott is starting to charge daily parking at properties that have ample parking spaces. Just a mutated way for the industry to charge more per stay. This hotel charged $10 daily, below some of other hotels in the same category. Our room was on the 4th floor, very quiet and nicely appointed. The colors and decors throughout the hotel property was updated and modern. We especially enjoyed their gym, one of the BEST we've ever seen at a Marriott Courtyard. As it turned out, they took out the swimming pool that was well underutilized, and made this awesome large gym. The equipment rivaled a nice gym. We think because of the no pool and no included breakfast, you won't find many families staying here. That suited our style of travel just fine. It is extremely quiet. The front desk staff was very friendly and attentive.

The room was spacious and very comfortable and up to date.

The rooms are not soundproof so you can hear your next door guest or anything in the hallways

No breakfast was a bummer. The place was a bit crammed.
