Castle Hotel Macroom

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here with breakfast. Delicious breakfast. We dined also on the Friday evening and this meal was also well presented and tasty. Very clean hotel and bright and airy. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends

An excellent hotel. Warm and friendly rooms coupled with warm and friendly staff. In addition the food and pints of Guinness are excellent.

Castle Hotel offers and excellent stay. The staff is welcoming and helpful. There is convenient free parking in the back of the hotel. Macroom is a central location for easy access to many parts of Cork and Kerry. The bathroom and shower are new and excellent. I agree with other reviewers that some rooms could use updating to larger beds and modern TV sets. I would stay again, as overall it is an excellent for a short term stay in a convenient location.

I stayed for three nights, and I wish I could have stayed longer. The whole Team are second to none, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are very kind and helpful. The Hotel itself is a joy to stay in, very comfortable and quiet at night. I had breakfast every day as well as an evening meal, and all the food I consumed was absolutely delicious. The Leisure Club is also well worth visiting. I look forward to returning in March 2026.

Imagine a beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff in the prettiest Irish town. Then imagine the best food, a great café, and a beautiful bar. Add a beautiful swimming pool and leisure center. This was the place. We found it. The staff had my wife and I feeling like family from the start of our stay. We had checked in very late on our first night, and James, Cliona, and Katherine couldn't have been more kind to us. Making sure all our needs were met. Our room was roomy. Pristine and like a dream. If we needed anything, it was taken care of instantly. Amazing. Between the both of us. Having stayed at the Castle Hotel for 2 weeks. My wife and I ordered almost everything on the restaurants menu. I don't know how they did it, but each item, especially the filet, smoked chicken, chicken curry, the roast of the day, the steak sandwich, the wings, and the Caesar salad. All were a 10 out of 10. And we are picky people. Amazing. My wife and I are a working couple. Having said this, the Castle Hotel is very reasonably priced and to us a phenomenal deal. The hotel is within feet of wonderful pubs, great shopping, parks and other amenities. Macroom is located in a perfect location as well. A reasonable car ride or a bus trip to Kinsale, Killarney, Blarney, and many other points of interest were easily accessible. We are already planning our next stay.
