"Exceptional"

Room is clean has everything (bath robe, pajamas, slippers, and all bathroom stuff). Shower and tub were very nice and beds are really comfortable. Location is quiet but not far from the tourist destinations. Service was wonderful as our luggage was already delivered to our room after we dropped it off early as we tour the city before the normal check in time.

What a fabulous small hotel! Very friendly staff, cute and stylish place, sparking clean, very convenient location. Highly recommended! And great coffee next door and another great place. Thank you to all that made my long stay in Kyoto so lovely.

Our trip to Kyoto was conceived in a rush and poorly planned, so we didn't fully research where to stay, but we struck lucky booking three nights at Nagi Kyoto Sanjo. It's a fantastic boutique hotel in a good location and reasonably close to Karasuma Oike subway station. Had we known how good it would be we would have travelled straight to Kyoto rather than staying the first night in Osaka where we had a postage stamp sized room for the same price we were paying for Nagi Kyoto Sanjo. Our room was spacious, very clean and with a large bath room. The breakfast room also doubles as a popular cafe called "Here", which makes very good coffee - although their coffee is not part of the breakfast.
