Cingaki Hotel

Close to airport. Tony was very friendly and helpful.

Very basic. No toilet seat. No hot water in the shower. Only one pillow on the bed. Holes in mosquito net. No glass in the windows, only shutters that didn’t fully shut which left gaps for mosquitoes and noise. Very hot, no aircon. No lift so had to carry suitcases up staircase. No card machine working.

That was the worst hotel shanty dump room i ever stayed in Mikindani Mombasa. Windows in the top floor are broken mosquitos are everywhere in the room i never slept at all and no one was there to help me. Too much of dust in the bathroom and broken toilet need to be fixed. The location of the hotel is scary and the surroundings is like slums u get scared of getting out of the property. whatever that is written on the internet is a plain lie. i will never recommend anyone to waste his money by going to cingaki hotel, horrible horrible !!!

I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff. The location is close to the city centre.

The sink was very small. The bed linen seemed old.

The location is ideal if you have a flight or train to catch. The staff (Nancy, Nielsen, Tony) were very helpful and warm. The room was basic but clean and had most of the required necessities. The WiFi was fairly good when it worked. I took 2 video calls and managed fine. The team arranged a public shuttle to get me to the train station at 6am which only cost 250 khs.

There were a few brief power cuts which meant we lost wifi and ability to use the fan. The food options in the area are very limited. A top sheet should be provided on the bed (apparently an oversight or it could be requested). Street sweeping took place outside my window at 5am which woke me.

From arrival to departure there was nothing to fault. The bed super comfy best nights sleep I have had in a while! The room was spotless making it easy for me to get comfortable nice touch with the balcony. The gentleman were very polite and helpful. . From arranging transport to the airport and giving me hot spot whilst the Internet was down. I highly recommend Cingaki hotel!

Everything was exceptional nothing to fault.
