Red Roof Inn Madison, WI

It was crazily overpriced for what we got. It smelled clean when we first opened walked in but it took zero time seeing how dirty it was. There were at least 3 flies flying all over. There were stains and rips on our sheets. Almost none of the lights worked. There were rips in all the furniture. The bed was very uncomfortable and springy and the pillows were so thin they stood up straight. So stiff it was like a board.

This place is a disgrace! A complete disaster of a property. This is not a hotel but an apartment complex. They used duct tape to hold a door closed.

The sheets were dirty, bathroom door wouldn’t close tight, hair dryer and iron were gone (stolen off the wall?), it was noisy, and there were no extra blankets or pillows.

Location was good. Strong cigarette odor in room. Sheets had multiple stains on them. Cigarette holes in sheets and mattresses. Condoms under the bed. AC was good. Many people just loitering around the building.

You get what you pay for I guess. This is not a high class place, and the price reflects that. It's not somewhere I would ever choose to stay, had we had more options and I planned better. It's a bed, it's a place to sleep, but doesn't feel like the safest place to be at night.

They gave up our room and did not have one available. Happened to 2 guest right in front of us in line as well
