Northway Inn Queensbury - Lake George

This place is gross, its a joke! No towels, no blankets, its dirty, pillows are stained yellow I could go on and on, but what good is it going to do

Dirty, smelled, spider in shower, ceiling tiles all discolored, gross gross gross!

This is a filthy run down dump. There are a number ‘tenants’ hanging out their doors smoking cigarettes and watching you come and go which really adds to the setting. Do NOT stay here. It is disgusting. We only stayed because there was a lax tournament and most places were booked. I’d sleep In my car first the next time

You say in your response you have two printers but when I checked sat night the lady said you had none. The bathroom was dirty -221 and door knob loose. Hair on the floor and only 2 large towels.

Our room wasnt ready upon arrival, the room we were given was not very clean

Close to everything in the Lake George area. Room was very comfortable and well maintained.

The cleaning could,ve been more detailed. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was very weak .Also upon arrival one of the bed sheets were stained and very dingy, worned out, it wasn't even white in color. Other then that it was great.

The property was old an in poor shape. Sunlight comes through the door seams and overall the place seems dingy. When we checked in there was food left in the fridge from the last person, and the towels were dirty. The staff did bring clean towels, but said the property was old when the other issues were brought up. The property needs updating. Wouldn’t recommend it.

PROS: Simple, friendly and quick check in and out. JcPenny's, Panera, Friendly's and other shops conveniently across the street. Ten minutes from Lake George attractions. Comfortable bed. CONS: Sketchy characters. Looks like it's a motel and halfway house. Did not feel safe. Although no smoking is allowed in the rooms there was constant smoking outside the rooms. Seemed like every occupant was a smoker including the front desk person. Cigarette buds everywhere. Stained sheets. Instead of asking for a replacement we opted to go out and buy a flat sheet and comforter with shams set. Didn't want to chance it. Bathroom side of tub and molding were dirty. Nothing a little clorox couldn't fix or fresh paint to the molding. Wooden stairs leading to the upstairs rooms are frail and in need of replacement. We were afraid they might cave in while going up and down or carrying our luggage. This was a last minute booking. Not much choices left. Although it had low ratings we decided to give it a go. People could be very critical we thought. Well they were right! We will not be staying here again! This place is in great need of an upgrade!

I was very disappointed to learn I was staying at a former Motel 6 that was still, for all intents and purposes, a Motel 6 but was charged as if it was a more upscale motel.
