Travelodge by Wyndham Aberdeen

Great location

It was cheap, safe, near 95. Had a restaurant attached and close to a lot of stores.

The bed was springs and very firm. Our initial entrance to the first floor and our room smelled of really old must and dampness. They need air purifiers and dehumidifiers running. It would be a lot nicer if whomever remodeled it hadn’t been so sloppy with their workmanship…slopping paint on the baseboards, covering gaps in the wall behind toilet paper holders. They were clearly in a hurry. It seemed clean. The bathroom was small with a small tub and the shower curtain was definitely needing a washing. The continental breakfast was a real disappointment. It was one of the main reasons we picked this hotel over other. It was a choice of Raisin Bran or corn flakes. That’s it. No yogurt. No orange juice. No waffles. The coffee was in a carafe although there was a machine sitting there and the front desk gentleman went to name more. We left and went and had an excellent breakfast at Cracker Barrel. We wanted to use the pool that am but was told it wasn’t open until 10. With check out bring 11, that wasn’t really conducive.

The Property is outdated, but acceptable for the price.

Hotel appeared somewhat in disrepair w peeling paint and odor, BUT the bed was comfortable and clean and the pool was great. Perfect for 1-2 night stay if you need a cheaper place to lay your head. We were busy w sports tourney so only there for sleep time, which was fine.

Stayed here a whole hour, we walked in and found dead roaches, bed felt like sleeping on a box spring, tv not working, door didn’t work and dogs barked for almost the whole time we were there. We left and checked into a hotel in Edgewood, I would not recommend pictures look nice but be warned. Staff was friendly but didn’t really try and fix anything.

The room was clean and comfortable. The Restaurant was great!!!
