SureStay by Best Western Massena

Two words: Overpriced and Smoke (both weed and cigarettes). Our room had no security chain for the door, a broken bed pedestal (so if you sat on the end the whole bed tilted), a heater in the bathroom that was stuck ON, and a towel rack that was half out of the wall with no bar to hang towels on. We were greeted as we went to our room with a car in the parking lot that was filled with pot smoke, and a guest splayed out near the entrance to the door smoking like a chimney. We payed $120 plus $50 for our dogs for one night, and this is what we got? Econolodge should raze this property and start all over again. I would think twice about ever staying in an Econolodge again.

Property was not kept well. Found crumbs on the bed. Hair dryer off the wall and not properly working. Seems like all outside doors does not lock.

Wi-Fi not working in my area of motel. The woman at the front desk said it was me, nobody else on my side had this problem. Will never stay again.

There was a smell in the room. It was dirty- dead bugs, poorly kept up- moldy shower head, broken screen, trash in the hall, hard pillows. Blankets on bed had holes and stains. Fridge wasn’t clean.

The stay started with the desk agent charging me for my stay. The issue was i had already paid on hotels.com. she then told me she didnt know how to process a refund and would have to call the owner. She also told me i paid way more than the going rate online. After getting this resolved i attempted to go to my room but the keys didn't work on the exterior door. The desk agent who was smoking a cigarette andnsaw this let us in the door and walked us to our room through disgustingly dirty hallways to ensure our keys worked, which they did. Apon entering the room we found mold in the shower and aroun the bathroom sink. Stains which appeared to be semen on the chair, red stains and pubic hairs on the bed and an overly rundown room. When the desk agent came back to the room to provide a copy of the refund slip of the double charge i informed her of this and showed her the filth. She informed me they would not refund the room and had no other rooms available but did kindly provide me a single sheet to cover the semen stains on the chair. After trying unsuccessful to find another place to stay and not wanting to force a 6 year old to sleep in a small car, i stripped the bed and covered it it my jackets and seemingly clean towels and went to bed.

The staff was most helpful and the acommodations were great for a tournament fisherman spending multiple nights there. I had zero complaints and was most happy with all aspects.

This hotel was very disappointing! The room was ok but everything else was a mess! There was no elevator, which is hard when carrying luggage. The stairwells were dark and dirty with paint splattered all over the carpet. The outside was of the building was dirty and poorly maintained with crumbling foundation at the entrance.
