SureStay by Best Western Massena

Nice play to stay for the graduation at Clarkson University. Would have liked to be a little closer to Potsdam but all the rooms were taken by others. Friends had to stay in Watertown NY

My large first floor window didn’t lock. Also there appeared to be open wells in the back yard. The covers had rotted and fallen in. Safety needs to be improved.

Person at desk seemed unwilling to offer a solution to the add saying breakfast was served.

Worst stay I could have had. I had an agreement with the front desk that I’d be paying every night for the nights I stayed, because of how my work schedule was. When I check in that was fine. Well the second night it was ok, but they had a bit of an attitude. The third night they refused to let me stay, after I had paid for the room. They have refused to refund me based on them not getting paid before 11am, when I didn’t check in until 11 that night. They wanted me to pay days ahead of time after I had an agreement with them. There’s no way I’d ever stay here again. Not only was the front desk very rude the rooms stunk, the towels were dirty, and the microwave didn’t work. Told the front desk about the microwave and they didn’t care. Said they’d fix it but never did.

I've never felt discrimination in my life until I booked a room for two nights at the Econo lodge in Massena. I booked my stay about a week before with the option to pay at the desk and when it was 3 days before my trip i booked again and payed without realizing that I had already booked it. When I saw the email reminding me of it i called the hotel to cancel the first one a lady named NB answered and was outraged that i wanted to cancel the first booking. She said " am gonna cancel both of them because you people already do this " i asked her what she meant but she wouldn't listen to whatever i had to say and insisted she's gonna cancel my stay there. I had to call Hotels.com and spoke to someone and he was able to get her to keep the reservation that I had already paid for and not charge me a cancelation fee. I will never stay at the Econo lodge in Massena again for their customer service skills are the worst that I've ever come across.

Had an amazing stay at this property and would definitely stay there again.

I didn't care for the holes in the wall and heater. Blanket had a big hole in it. Carpet was stained and dirty.

My only issue was the website clearly stated breakfast available, upon entering lobby there is a small sign stating that it’s not. When I asked the gentleman behind the counter about the conflict he said “well there’s a sign right there” Other than that the room was perfect, clean and facilities were great

It was clean, easy location and very peaceful!

The rate was great, but you get what you pay for I guess.
