Teresa was a great host and we really loved the breakfast. The rooms were historic, large and comfortable and the location was great for walking to and from the train station, not to mention Herculaneum.

There were some issues with the hot water but the hosts got that sorted out. We also struggled a bit with climate control as the main room stayed pretty toasty but the upstairs room was a bit cold in the mornings. That said, it might have been us just not understanding how to work the heating unit.

Theresa who made us breakfast in the morning was very kind and service minded. We communicated mostly through Google Translate and that worked fine. The frescoes on the wall in the larger bedroom are very pretty and you really get the feeling of staying in a mansion/castle, which is actually what you are doing. The breakfast room is impressive with its huge paintings on the walls. The location is great if you want to visit the archeological excavations in Ercolano and there are some very nice restaurants within walking distance.

Some confusion upon arrival. It was difficult to find which part of the mansion that was the hotel, so I had to call. Then I was given another room than the one I had booked (which was occupied by somebody else). After some discussions and phone calls, I got an upgrade to a better room, so in the end, it worked out in my advantage, but still, I would have preferred to be without such issues. The property is nice, but some more attention to detail would have been good (why only one chair in a room for two, balcony that could not be opened, a minibar full of almond milk (why?)).

The Villa is beautiful and inspired by the local history. The frescos on the walls of the main room and the marble bathroom were stunning. Most importantly we found the bed and pillows most comfortable and we slept really well. Breakfast made by Teresa was good fun; she was flexible and arranged breakfast to our needs. The distance from the train station was slightly longer than we anticipated, especially as we walked with a suitcase and a rucksack. However, the archaeological site is really near. It's a unique place and we feel privileged to have stayed there.

There is no lift (but we had help from the staff).

La maison ressemble à un musée, les pièces sont grandes et richement décorées. La chambre était très confortable et le petit déjeuner très bon. L'accueil était chaleureux.
