Casa Mariolas

A lovely B&B in Manteigas, in the middle of the amazing Serra da Estrela, managed by two fantastic hosts. Daniela and Paulo love what they are doing and gave us a lot of useful information and tips on the places to visit and the trails to follow during our stay. The room was just perfect, with a stunning view on the mountains and a delicious homemade breakfast that gave us a perfect start of the day. Casa Mariolas is definitely worth the visit! We look forward to visit them again very soon.

The view from the room and terrace was exceptional! House is placed on the hill so you can see all the valley (very beautiful), not the neighbor buildings. Owners were very nice, they gave a lot of advises and instructions where to go and what to do. The breakfast was prefect, a lot of various dishes, local cheeses and jams. There is also a museum in the hotel on mountaineering topic. We definitely recommend this place and have the plans to come back again.

We spent 3 wonderful days at Casa Mariolas and Manteigas! Perfect mountain view from our balcony, a lovely served breakfast with super delicious sheep cheese, homemade marmelade, fresh orange juice and much more. Daniela and her husband gave us great advice and hiking recommendations as well special places to go and eat. We loved it! We will return definetely when comming back to beautiful Sierra de Estrela.

Very nice accommodation. Superb views on the surrounding mountains. Very good breakfast. Absolutely great host! Daily, we were provided with great tips for trips in the region! We very much enjoyed our stay in Manteigas, and Serra de Estrella! Such a beautiful area, great people. Hope to come back one day

Casa Mariolas, located on the sunny hills surrounding Manteigas, exceed our expectations. Everything in the guesthouse: from stunning views when you wake up, to good functional breakfast with a great selection of local cheese and breads, to the warm hospitality of the hosts, Daniela and Paul, to an excellent location and overall Casa's vibe and design is well thought-through. Staying at Casa Mareolas would present you with an authentic way of spending your mountain vocation and provide relaxation after exploring the beautiful park of Serra Estrela. I highly recommend staying with Daniela and Paul for a few days, soaking in the clean mountain air, walking in nature and around a wonderful Manteigas. Make sure to ask for hiking recommendations! Daniela and Paul are real mountaineers and know quick a bit about this area (and the Himalayas!).
