Red Roof Inn & Suites Tomah

We reserved 2 rooms 4 months in advance. i called to speak directly to someone and requested first floor rooms as we would be traveling with 2 elderly men with disabilities. Upon arrival we were informed that the rooms were on the second floor and there was noting that could be done to change that. I asked how far of a walk the elevator was and the man at the desk laughed telling me there as not an elevator. I asked how we are expected to get the heavy medical equipment and luggage up the stairs and the man at the desk laughed and said "its only about 20 stairs". The issues did not stop once we arrived in our rooms. The ice machine on the second floor did not work, leaving my brother in law with his cane to carry an ice bucket up a flight of stairs while attempting to maintain his balance. Our room had the refrigerator in the middle of the room and the tv remote did not work, the bathroom door will not close all the way and there were no washcloths and no paper coffee cups to use with the provided coffee machine. Neither room had a spare roll of toilet paper. When the issue was brought to the attention of the worker he pointed my brother in law of the direction of where the toilet paper is stored telling him he can go grab it himself. I returned to the desk to let the clerk know about the fridge and I explained to him that my oxygen dependent husband would not be moving it. The clerk did come and move the fridge which was turned one. We noted maybe it would be nice for the guys to relax in the hot tub after the long road trip, at which time we noticed the hot tub is also not working. We stayed 3 nights and did not see housekeeping once. Everyday we had to go get towels. I attempted to use the restroom in the lobby and it had no toilet paper. The clerk told me where to get toilet paper from while he sat at the desk watching TV. A blanket also sat on the floor in the lobby bathroom for at least the last 2 days that we were there. This was the worst experience at a hotel ever! I have never been to a hotel with so little empathy for people with disabilities. I will definitely not return to this hotel. I will be sure that our family that lives in Tomah lets any other visitors know to not stay here and I will let others with disabilities know how Clarion Pointe treats those with disabilities.

Sink wouldn't drain Black particles in sin and tub. Dead gnats in sink water. Had 2 ask for washcloths. Staff did not understand what I was asking for. Area around motel seemed run down. Do not eat at Denny's next door!!

We were never informed that breakfast was included or available. The staff never told us, so we went out for breakfast.

The Pool was cold the hot tub was out of service. The floors were sticky not sure why. The room was humid even with the A/C on.

Location. Desk person seemed nice enough.

Slow draining sink. Housekeeping didn't supply fresh towels for many rooms. Only 1 garbage can in room. Hallways were not vacuumed. Don't know if it was lack of staff or didn't care.

Staff was great! Always friendly, kind, and laughing with guests. Rooms were clean other than needing some vacuuming in the corner and edges. Our sink wouldn’t drain but it was minor. My son loved the pool and the playground. Worked great for us. Breakfast didn’t have much options but my son loved the waffle maker and there is a kwik trip next store. All in all not too bad!

room wasnt clean. garbage from previous guests in the room. bathroom was gross, hair on the floor and in tue shower, soap dispensers were even dirty. half a roll of toilet paper and no back up, no wash clothes, two half folded towels.. i'm far from a clean freak, but gross is gross.. even the mess on the hallway floor stayed there for 3 days.. had we had another option, we wouldnt have stayed.

Room wasn't very clean. Less than half a roll of toilet paper in the room. Burnt out light bulb.

We were planning to stay for 3 days while visiting family in town. The listing says there is a pool and a hot tub, which would have been a highlight of our stay if the hot tub was actually working and filled with more than 5” of dirty, cloudy water. The kids had already jumped in the pool by the time we saw a bloody medical glove on the pool deck. The theme of mystery bodily fluids only continued in the room. We had to ask several times to have housekeeping change all the linens - sheets, pillows, towels - all covered in a rainbow of various stains. There were also sunflower seeds strewn around the floor, which was clearly not even vacuumed. Once we got “fresh” linens, we decided to give it a chance and stay (there really weren’t any other options at the time) only to be awoken at 7:30am by a fire alarm ringing through the whole building. We checked for smoke, smelled nothing, and decided to just grab all our stuff and be done with this place. We sat outside for about 30 min while no one knew what was going on, no staff was around to let anyone know what was happening, no fire crew came while we were outside, so we left. We did come back later to formally check out and were refunded for the other two nights we had previously reserved. In no way did I expect this place to be more than what we were paying for, but I do expect at the very least to have a CLEAN room and functional amenities when they’re listed on the website!

The room smelled like cat piss, the room was very dirty pillows were stained and you could see that through the pillow cases. I walked in the room and ended up not staying there it’s horrible
