Marine Hotel Paignton

Overall very good !!!! The shower could do with improvement hardly any pressure and the water temperature is hard to manage (very hot) Bed was really comfortable and the room was very clean Definitely would stay here again when visiting Paignton

Staff very friendly, big family room, hot water, building quite old, perfect location, close to the beach, cinema and shops. Everyday entertainment in the evening. Breakfast only ok. Free parking.

Only one night stay, very satisfied with everything. Will probably return later in year. Would recommend.

Terribly under staffed and unorganised when we arrived. The room was clean, tidy and pleasant although the pillows were rock hard as was the mattress, but that's down to personal preference. The bar didn't have much choice on draft.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We had parking space only on the first day as on the next one we took a trip by car and at the arrival we had to find a space outside the hotel for extra payment…the WC was not clean,the breakfast was poor,the fork still had the previous guest’s food on it.next to the bed there was a huge patch on the rug.

Very welcome when we arrived .we had the option of a three course meal in the evening and it was very nice .the entertainment after the meal was very good.overall a lovely hotel

A nice hotel with character right on the seafront. Breakfast was excellent I didn't try the dinner options. The staff were fantastic and enjoyed playing with my little Jack Russell. Ryan in the restaurant was a great customer advocate, always looking after the clients.

Close to the beach. The hotel has entertainment each night. Spacious rooms. Dislikes. Ground floor rooms badly affected by noise from the bar area, some nights until 1am. Especially room 203

The staff are very friendly and helpful.The hotel is a bit old and needs updating.Our room was quite spacious but it was on a ground floor with the restaurant above us.We could hear foot steps above us and was woken up in the early hours with lots of foot steps.

Overall the stay was fine, the staff were lovely, and the location was excellent. A couple of things let the hotel down. There was a large extractor fan right outside our room and it was very noisy. The other thing was that the shower barely worked. Apart from the low water pressure, the shower had a mind of it's own, running freezing cold one minute, and scalding hot the next. Overall, the stay was pleasant and the friendliness if the staff and the location made up for any downside.
