Noosa Holiday Accommodation

The location was nice, easy walks along the river or into Tewantin. The address via GPS takes you to a different complex. The price was okay for 5 night stay in studio unit 539. The towels were thick and decent size. Unit had proper hand soap, washing up liquid with cutlery and crockery.

Noise from 2 different couples staying in unit above us (needs sound proofing) and both times they parked in our allocated parking spot when advised not too by manager Mike apparently. Complex has plenty of visitors parking but all taken up by permanent residents with multiple cars. Wasn’t aware that check in was a private booking and not part of booking.com or managed by the complex as a whole.The TV was very slow to respond to remote, no not a battery issue. Ice cube tray was empty, so no ice cool drink on check in.

The property was clean, the shower has good pressure and the internet worked well enough.

I didn’t like the fact that the description about the property is quite misleading. This property is a bedroom - not an apartment, and it’s not part of a resort - as it is privately managed, which makes the experience not that great. - Check in: we arrived at the resort after a long drive in the hope to get the keys and relax, but we had to call the owner of the bedroom and talk with him for some time until we figured out how to unlock the door. The locker is definitely safe as it took us a while to understand and other comments here tell us the same. Mike can be condescending as well. - Amenities: there were no bath towels, bath mats nor a toaster. We had been to the supermarket buying items for our breakfast but couldn’t eat our bread. And then we had to go back to the supermarket to buy bath towels as well, as we were not provided any. - Location: the location is only good if you have a car, if you are traveling without one, don’t stay here. It’s too far from Noosa Heads National Park and Main Beach and public transport is not that great. It’s close to the river and has a nice area for walks though. - I believe the resort where this bedroom is located is shared in between holiday units and units rented for locals. The bedroom does not have good sound proof so the noise coming from upstairs is very loud.

The overall experience was confusing, uncomfortable, and not what we expected — especially from a platform like Booking.com. I’m the husband writing this review on behalf of my in-laws and my wife, as the booking was made under my Booking.com account. We booked this property expecting a typical resort stay. What we got instead was a privately owned unit within the resort itself — very misleading when arriving. The setup was more like an Airbnb: the owner asked us to wash dishes and take out the rubbish daily. The unit was also poorly sound-proofed — every movement from the upstairs neighbours could be heard. Cooking-wise, the unit only had a microwave — apparently not all rooms have an oven and stovetop. There were no check-in instructions in advance, and we had to call the owner directly just to figure out how to access the unit. On the phone, the owner made the process sound overly complicated, even though it was actually very simple. Some basic written or visual guidance would’ve made things much easier — especially for guests whose first language is not English. The owner defended this by saying they’d done things this way for 25 years, so the issue must be ours, not theirs. To make matters worse, my in-laws (guests) felt disrespected by the owner simply for not being fluent in English. In an effort to help, my wife — an Australian citizen and fluent English speaker — called the property owner directly. Despite speaking clearly, she was immediately and wrongly assumed to be a foreigner, likely based solely on the fact that her parents are. The owner spoke to her in a patronising, condescending tone, as if she couldn’t understand basic words like “keypad” or “tropical.” The owner even asked whether we “can read numbers” — an insulting and presumptive question. It was a discriminatory feeling and unprofessional. Australia is a proudly multicultural country, and Noosa is a beautiful destination, but experiences like this tarnish both.

The noise from the floor above guests walking around at night time. Light switches going on and off. 2 lots of different guests, so a problem with floor thickness. Other than that a great place to stay.

It was a beautiful apartment, well stocked, clean and comfortable in a great location

The key pad lock to enter the apartment... very difficult and to be honest put me off going back there again. Such a pity as a key in a lock box would be much easier!

The hosts provided lots of little extras like salt and pepper shakers, bug spray, and a roll of plastic wrap in the kitchen, the little things that are useful when you're on holidays. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. Nice position facing a lake.

Owner is always willing to assist even with late checkin. Room was freshly renovated and the location is very central.
