Parking lot had broken down cars. Bad social area. Barking dogs in units. Room - walls heavily dirty, mattress badly worn out and stained. Linen dingy. Roaches in vanity and bathroom. Shower dirty. No TP. Limited towels. Comforter rumpled and big burn holes in it. Bad odor. Definitely misrepresented by pictures in their advertisements!

Great location overall cleanliness could have been better

Homeless people everywhere, We found a used syringe in the ironing board in our room, definitely high traffic area for drugs. I would not recommend for anyone to stay here

This Econo Lodge in San Marcos should be closed. Due to dirty bed, dirty room, Ice machine has rust/dirty, sheets on bed was dirt and cover with holes, pillow were dirty and had holes, the air conditions did NOT work properly ,room 107. My wife worked in hotels and she knows what is good and not.

We left before we were there for an hour. Nasty room and very scary surroundings. We said we wanted a refund and now I think they are going to contest giving our money back.

Do not recomend. Cheap goes wrong way. My dad booked a stay for 2 bedroom 3 night. One was payed with card the second with cash. The second night he was asked to evacuate the room he paid with cash saying hw only paid 2 nts. They dont have you initial what youre paying for at beginning. There is no way to prove he did or didn’t pay. They have camwras, aksed to speak to manager, Staff said he couldnt call the manager just for that! What? He is getting kicked out of a room he had paid for. We shouldve call the police if it wasnt because he had an event to go to. Please spend a little more and save yourself a headache.

Room appeared clean until looked closely at the floor. Hair and hairballs from previous guest was on the floor and in the shower. I carry Lysol wipes and cleaned all surfaces. My feet were filthy from walking barefoot in the room and had to clean my feet before I put my shoes on! Room was worth about $40, NOT $109.

We got two USED toilet paper rolls, bathrooms were not clean.

Great for the price. It's a room, with a bed and facilities.

I hate posting bad reviews, but this place needs a lot of work. This place is worth $50 or less a night. It is nothing like the pictures. The bedsheets had blood stain on them, & the towels had black stains on them. The fridge was not working. There was no iron in there. The walls looked dirty, & overall it just stunk. This place needs to be closed down for a week and properly be sanitized and disinfected. They need to wash literally everything in there. We did not sleep comfortably.
